During his 2008 presidential campaign, my two daughters, partner, and I ate every meal in our house on Obama placemats. We bought these at our local supermarket, plastic-coated, plate-sized paper rectangles with an image of his face framed by colors of the flag.

That is terrifying.

The worshiping of this man has always troubled me. Since when do we put pictures of our leaders on place mats, t shirts, posters, hats, bumper stickers, what have you?

It is disturbing to say the least. Very reminiscent of the commie bloc nations...
