The looks of him didn't strike me as the type to have a girlfriend or some sort of hobby to consume his finance's....

Most expensive ar10 he could find was probably the weapon of choice.

An SKS is what I've seen floating around, but I can't confirm.

That just won't do. Not scary enough. Might be why no one's reporting on it. Too much wood on it.
maybe he had one of these?

EVERY long rifle is an AR to them.

Yeah, I'm doubting the SKS, unless it was converted to take mags. AR would seem like the platform of choice for him. If he could afford body armor, and a gun club membership, odds are he wouldn't cheap out with an SKS.

The conversion DOES exist. I actually looked into one for mine before I sold it. And the gun above has that upgrade it appears.

EDIT: and maybe he couldnt afford an AR-10, AK, or M1a and wanted the extra punch of a 7.62? Its very possible he "blew his wad" on the other goodies before getting the rifle and had to compromise.

Mentioned somewhere that Michael Savage stated the route the BLM march was taking place was not publicized.
Soooo.... How did the BLM killer know where to station?

    From black lives matter:

'To assign the actions of one person to an entire movement is dangerous and irresponsible. We continue our efforts to bring about a better world for all of us.'

    Irony?

    Insane levels of irony.

Burn and riot in cities nation wide over the actions of a cop half a country away.

Yep; and the saying is worthy. There's an idiot from every village

Prayers go out to our local LE as the Indy Black Expo approaches. Hopefully nothing crazy happens and everything stays on a peaceful level. With recent events are there any talks of changing security measures or any other plans to know of for downtown?

    Just stay away.
Seems those in charge are willing to let the city be looted and burned over being called a racist.
Hopefully not here but this has been the norm.

200 yards is a long shot in downtown Dallas and an SKS can do at least double that. I am betting if it was an SKS, it took detachable mags because of the way he was burning through the ammo.
