A lot of our drug approval process over the years has evolved into making work/jobs for more gov't employees. Obama put that on steroids.

A delve into many gov't agencies would likely make the deep state FBI look like choir boys.

What in the world would this potentially great news have to do with a kick anywhere?

    Population Israel: 8.9 million.

    Populations USA. 328.2 million

Virology resources in Israel potentially eclipses US efforts?

I'd say that's an embarrassment. Good news, but it sure puts us in the caboose.

    Shame

Proven to be spreading in France as early as December.
If it was spreading there it was spreading here. Like many of us have said.
More proof the mortality rate for the kungFlu is well below reported numbers.
But some will still keep their heads buried in the sand or spread false information.
Go live your lives as normal or do not. But don't tread on my rights.

I have a question, not calling anyone out it's just a question that popped into my head.
Do people or can people get paid for reposting links and getting paid if people click on those links?
All the time is see people post "breaking" or even common news articles on ingo like people dont somehow watch TV or have the same internet access. So I wonder if some people get paid per click?

    Social distancing isn’t working.

The idea that people standing six feet apart will fix a pandemic is — and always has been — silly.

And Former Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb agrees.

On CBS’s “Face the Nation on Sunday,” Gottlieb said social distancing — as well as other mitigation measures imposed by governors — don’t appear to be working nearly as well as public health experts had projected

While mitigation didn’t fail, I think it’s fair to say it didn’t work as well as we expected. We expected we’d start seeing more significant declines in new case and deaths around the nation at this point, and we’re just not seeing that,” Gottlieb said.

Professor Michael Levitt, who won the 2013 Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2013, says the lockdowns ordered by state governors were a complete overreaction to COVID-19 and may actually backfire.

Levitt, who teaches structural biology at the Stanford School of Medicine, has been analyzing the COVID-19 outbreak from a statistical perspective ever since January, according to Unherd.com.

He says that despite all the predictions, the data show that the COVID-19 outbreak never actually grew exponentially, which means the draconian lockdown measures were most likely unnecessary.

There is no doubt in my mind, that when we come to look back on this, the damage done by lockdown will exceed any saving of lives by a huge factor,” Levitt concluded.

What did you think of the article?

Couldn't find it, but I will say that in the 3 links you provided, I don't think I've ever seen such a bunch of full-of-themselves academics engaging in such an orgy of self-important puffery since I was, well, in academia.

    Geez guys, echo-chamber much?

Seriously, looking at your Twitter feed, I couldn't be sure I wasn't actually reading something in The Onion.

You remember the trailer for the Coneheads Movie, where the one guy says, "They're from France," and the other guy says, "Well, then we need to NUKE France?"

Every time I see an article like that - I think that about New York.

It *almost* makes me think if I was ultra-rich...I'd donate a Billion Dollars to a charity that sends Saudi Chemical Engineers to Flight School.

Yeah. Whatever. Just don't be thumping your chest saying "We're No. 1 and the greatest country in the world in everything" when we are sliding from that position.

Bragging is is so cliche', BUT it's a travesty when you can't back it up.

I don't have any nines. Go fish.

I wonder why some people even have kids if since they hate them so much. Besides the fact they should have never reproduced and further burdened society with their dumb little monsters.

Pretty sure my parents loved me.
But I camped one weekend a month, rain-shine-subzero-whatever.
And one week in the summer.
My parents scraped what they could for 5 kids to go, and we kids raised money for summer camp.
I'd like to think it was a big part of making me who I am.
