It just does not make sense to keep 3 qb's in today's NFL, there is greater need at other positions for flexibility.

Especially when you can keep players on the practice squad "just in case" and draw from that pool when needed.

I could see that being the proper call if it was in open field, but once his second foot came down IN THE END ZONE, what other "football move" does he need to make? Play should have been over right then.
