These are two lines I read.

Maybe a link would be good instead of a massive ctrl+C ctrl+V of copyrighted text.

And yes, it's amazing what the Lord is doing in China.

I considered that. I considered a link because it would have introduced people to trunews.com, a news and analysis organization of significant worth. And I think that this may be the first time that I ever copied a bunch of text like that. But in the end I decided that his words of faith were what I wanted to put in the thread rather than a link. Besides, if someone is not able to read what was there provided, well then they would not have been able to read what was on the page that a link would have taken them to.

It's very easy actually if one has a mystical/sacramental world view?

Why do Catholics and Orthodox make the sign of the cross when passing a Church for example?

That's the answer :) And it's Biblical, which is the ironic part of it.

This does not invite a short answer. :D

Ok, but answering a question with a question isn't really an answer. ;)

How did the disciples know him? How did Paul?
They had what we know as the old testament. This is how they new that Christ was coming. Paul knew Him because when he was Saul he was struck blind and Christ asked him why he is persecuting Him.
Acts 9:4-5 Saul fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked.“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied.
As you know Saul later became Paul after he repented.

Maybe, maybe not. The strongest argument that can be made from your statement is that they were looking for A Christ, which was not my question.

I challenge you to find anywhere in the gospels where the disciples knew who Jesus was from the OT.

    Luke 24:35 is my answer

Paul knew Him because when he was Saul he was struck blind and Christ asked him why he is persecuting Him.
Acts 9:4-5 Saul fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked.“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied.
As you know Saul later became Paul after he repented.

I agree and he had a lot to say about knowing Jesus in the breaking of the bread.

So I don't need the Bible to know Christ.

However, how the disciples knew him seemed to be very important to Paul for he wrote a lot about my answer.
