Yeah... I think we'll just... no.
Just because someone is a Christian doesn't make them a better journalist.
The Greek of the Septuagint and the New Testament
As we look more closely at the Septuagint and the New Testament, we should first consider what these Greek biblical texts tell us about the societies for which they were produced. For the most part, the Jewish community of Alexandria, from which the translators of the Pentateuch most likely came, were first- or second-generation residents of that area (Joosten, Collected Studies, 185). It is unlikely that most of the population would have already forgotten their knowledge or use of a Semitic language (Aramaic and perhaps some Hebrew), but clearly its use was waning, especially among younger Jews, for whom the Greek language was a means of greater success in the world at large. It is likely that the Septuagint of the Pentateuch arose in liturgical settings, where it would be used along with the Hebrew as part of synagogue services, as well as in educational settings. Although the Septuagint achieved an independent status at a later date, it began in a subsidiary role to the Hebrew or perhaps as an interpretive complement to the text in its original Semitic languages (for the relationship of the oral to the written, see Aejmelaeus, “Septuagint,” 5–14).

The stories, and the histories, of the apocrypha are fascinating IMHO.
To me...And this is just me...
My coming to Christ was the acceptance that I am not a "better" person.....And the Lord was willing to take in a "wretch like me".....It blows me away every day....
Sigh...Besides its predetermined so what even vote?
But only 144000 of you will be 'elected'?
I'm number 102469.
It's always fun to ask a JW what number they are, or what tribe they below to.
But then again he also thought Abraham was an illiterate Jewish goat herder so what can you do with that?
