While I take my relationship with God seriously,

One thing I don't take seriously in online forum arguments. Don't know what happened there, but I think some light-heartedness and stepping away if you feel yourself getting too wound up may avoid a lot of issues. The old self-effacing chuckle has probably saved more than a few bans.

I just don't get why people wear their religion/non-religion on their sleeves such that they give and take things personally.

Both Cathy and Ric will be missed. They both add to the conversation. But apparently they took too seriously what each other added to that conversation.

You're more right than you know.
There's at least one regular on here in particular who deliberately posts inflammatory things, then goes running to the "REPORT" button to try and get users banned.
He's definitely no friend of gun rights, so maybe that's part of it.
Others reading this have probably already figured who I'm talking about.

Yep I think he means Hot and Sour. And I've seen a recipe list for it and tofu is far far from the worst. I think the one ingredient was called black tree fungus. And no it's not a mushroom... But I have had a good tasting tofu before. Tofu by it self has about the taste of Styrofoam, in other words none. And it's consistency can range from near pudding to near meat. It all depends on the seasonings/marinade. But I still wonder what a halfway decent steak or a thick pork chop would have tasted like if they had treated it the same.....

And yes I believe soybeans rank #2 in cash crops. At least legal ones, I have no idea where MJ ranks. I took a temp job when I first moved here at a grain elevator, I have no idea how many 50lb bags of soybeans I filled and stacked in containers to ship to Japan. Although I believe most of the domestic use is for oil .

With that being said, it's pretty clear that INGO is less without CIB. She broke some rules or something. It's a problem that can go south with amazing speed, if you don't believe it then check out the "other" gun site.

Even so, I would like to see just one INGO forum where anything goes. It could be called "The Street". If you get into a scrap or run afoul of someone in any of the moderated forums, you could choose to "Take it out into The Street". It would be Thunder Dome, two (or more) enter...... Only one leaves!

Nobody forces you into the street...... Nobody makes you watch what happens in the street...... The faint of heart could just keep out of the street. Then we don't have to loose great members, bad day or not. It could host some epic entertainment too. Nobody could get butt-hurt, insulted or scandalized..... "You chose to hang out in the street! If you can't stand the heat......"

It could either be an immensely popular place or nobody would want to be seen there. Either way it would be an outlet serving to quiet the noise in all the other forums. Also it would add freedom of speech to the new freedom of religion that we are enjoying now.

No swearing, porn, assaults, or whining. No exceptions. If you are offended, stay out. Same rule applies as S&S 30 days and 25 posts before access is allowed. Mind your manners or you will lose the Privilege to post in the Pit.

I know it would never fly here but it's a good place for venting and adults to have adult conversations and if need be act like children.

Maybe you guys should start a site like this elsewhere? You could throw up a link to your "anything goes" site anytime you choose?
A good example of how this sort of thing is done was put together by a moderately popular competition guy who didn't care for language or subject matter restrictions on the forums he frequented:

You can call me thin skinned or but-hurt or what you choose, but I am sensitive to the content of the forums I'm associated with. I don't care for discussion that puts me or my interest in a bad light, especially since that interest is continually under attack from those who would be happy for it to go away.
