I'm thinking along the same lines that Rittenhouse heard the shot, turned around and it was at that point Rosenwhatever had caught up to him and attempted to take his rifle away after which time Rittenhouse shot him in the attempt. It appears quite clear to me that those dirtbags who were after Rittenhouse were the aggressors. Self defense all the way.

It's really not difficult at all:

    1. There is no (known) evidence that Rittenhouse did anything otherwise unlawful or did anything to initiate/instigate force used against him
    2. Rittenhouse was fleeing/running while being chased by an angry mob
    3. One member of the mob chasing him threw something at him, others were shouting, and another fired a gun while chasing him.
    4. The member of the mob who threw something at Rittenhouse while chasing him eventually caught up with him and tried to disarm him.

All of these together - and even some of them individually - clearly justify his use of deadly force in self-defense. And these are all articulated by the affiant as PC in the charging document.

The defense barely needs to do more than examine the affiant on the stand. The State made the self-defense case for him.

That's why this is so screwed up on the States part. It looks like they are trying to play both sides here. On the one hand it's pretty obvious that they were compelled by the mob to file charges but on the other hand it appears that they were giving Rittenhouse a case of self defense to defeat those charges. IMO they cowardly refused to outright make a determination not to file charges based on self defense.

Watch the Tim Pool episode where he has the reporter on that tried to give aid to Rosenpedo. He was right there with Rittenhouse pretty much up through that point. What triggered the mob was some guy who looked a little like Rittenhouse, wore a similar colored shirt, had put out a dumpster fire that Rosenpedo had set, which the mob was pushing towards the gas station.

Rittenhouse was also walking around with a fire extinguisher and was mistaken for the other guy by the mob. There’s some video to back that up as well, where Rittenhouse is seen in a video running with a fire extinguisher. At some point he gets rid if it and is seen shortly after in the infamous video of the first shots. That’s what caused Rosenpedo to give chase. Rittenhouse didn’t do anything. The mob, including Rosenpedo, were pissed because someone who looked like Rittenhouse, stopped the angry mob from using the burning dumpster to blow up a gas station.

    Yup, this, exactly, IMO.

And now the mostly peaceful protest have moved to the City of Brotherly Love...

Violence Tears Through W. Philly After Deadly Police Shooting; 30 Officers Hurt

    Because...

Woman Tries to Restrain Son Moments Before Deadly Police Shooting

Police said they were called to Locust and South 61st streets shortly before 5 p.m. Monday for a report of a man with a weapon. When they arrived they say they found a man, later identified as 27-year-old Walter Wallace, who was holding a knife.

Police said they repeatedly told Wallace to drop the knife but he wouldn't listen. They then opened fire, shooting him multiple times before taking him to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

"Officers ordered him several times to drop the weapon," Philadelphia Police Sgt. Eric Gripp said. "He did not do so."

Cops were wearing body cams. Bystanders recorded the whole incident, but of course, they shoulda shot him in the leg cause he was "nice".

Maurice Holloway, a witness, told NBC10 he helped officers place Wallace in the police car that rushed him to the hospital.

"I believe they could have taken the right actions and possibly shot him in the leg or not shot him as well," Holloway said. "His mother was there. If your mother was there she’s there to protect you. They shouldn’t have shot that man in front of his mother."

Residents who knew Wallace described him as a man who loved his children and family.

"He was a nice man," Holloway said. "A wonderful man."

BLM-ers on video running police down in the street with their trucks. Cops hit with bricks, widespread looting and destruction. All over a guy who is ON VIDEO charging police with a knife.

Can't think of a better present for Trump in the most critical swing state a week before the election. I only regret that so many people have probably voted already.

You'd think that would be a pretty major news story. Maybe a little bigger deal that Jamie Foxx's 36 year old sister dying. Not to CNN...

Sadly I've basically seen this sentiment (without the sarcasm) a lot this morning. Many people are citing that he struggled with mental illness as a justification for him charging police with the knife. While I can empathize, the reality is the vast majority of people with mental health concerns aren't violent in the slightest. I'm wondering what the whole story is with this, but am assuming we'll never know.
