I LOVE LOVE LOVE this thing now that AllenM worked a little magic on the magwell.

It went from this tiny little opening (on the left, SuperTRP on right)-

To this nice, wide, perfectly blended opening -

Other then the magwell blending, all it needed was some VZ grips and an extended mag release button, and it was perfect. This baby is gonna win me some matches this year! :rockwoot:

    Double Stack!

AllenM just finished refinishing my widebody 1911 in Cerakote Burnt Bronze. It really came out nice!

I really enjoyed working with him to get this done. He's running a very busy collision repair shop, as well as providing outstanding gunsmithing services.

Nore: AllenM did the refinishing, I am responsible for the construction of the pistol!

I really like that Remington Rand.
Do you still run it or just hold it and speak softly.

Haven't shot it since I got it. It sits in the safe and gets gently caressed on occasion. Probably was some officer's at one point who carried it to look cool. It came with the original holster also.

There are enough other 1911's to shoot rather than this. I have shot my Colt O1911 WWI repro as witnessed here. The shiny spots are just the light reflecting, not wear.
