Decided I needed an SA Garrison. 45 of course.View attachment 371371
I've gotten to handle a few, Springfield seems to have done a good job with them. Styling is nice. Fit and finish seems above average. I didn't understand why they did the thin grips with the garrison, you going to keep em?

Unfortunately..... The name has been tainted for me from back when I used to watch TV

I don’t mind the thin grips, but will eventually swap them out. The gun seems to shoot pretty well so far, and I like the stainless. Got it on SA’s version of the blue label program for first responders and military. Before taxes, right at 700. I really don’t know how you can beat it at that price.

Be advised on these SPFD's with the thin grip bushings they use a lot of loctite, heat them up before you try to remove them.

TRP has better sights and I like the courser checkering. The Wilson's LPI on the front of the grip is so fine it's like
there isn't any. The Wilson is smooth as glass but I can't tell a difference in the trigger. For the price difference....??????
Thanks I was wanting a Wilson but to me I don’t think I the cost to benefit is there. Really like the commander with out the rail.
