How many of you have ever seen the correct USGI Lanyard for these? Now you have.

correct M1916 holster from Vietnam era. On a pistol belt, the way it was meant to be worn (The GI shoulder holsters are good too)

Yesterday (and it might still be there if the boss's wife didn't ship it yet), I saw a 1911 with the import cartouches and proper lanyard with the correct mag (also lanyarded) chambered in 455 Eley... pretty flippin' sweet.
