Some beautiful firearms here. Just got my first 1911.

The guy I got it from, ~6' 250lbs, said he was selling it because he wanted "something a little more fun to shoot" due to it being a compact .45. I'm 5'2" 105lbs and just have to say, it is a beauty to shoot and loads of fun. I plan on using it for my EDC.

To be honest, I actually like the old military style sights. Only problem I see is they easily disappear on dark backgrounds. Thought about painting the top edges with white as an assist. I have some modeling paints I though I would use. Paint thinner won't eat the finish if it doesn't work will it?

    Custom Colt 70 series

I have been shopping for a new IDPA CDP gun and came accross this yesterday. It is a Beautiful Custom Series 70 colt built with the highest quality componants (no MIM) without a lot of unnecessary do dads (ambi safety etc.) It is a proffessional build that is almost exactly what I might have wished for but could not have afforded to commission.

Sorry if I am Gushing...........I'm just really stoked :rockwoot:

Absolutely gorgeous piece! Certainly anyone would be proud to own. I would be gushing too! :rockwoot:

That would be on my never sell list and would feel proud behind it with every trip to the range. Enjoy!

Ah yes, Bacon and Colt in the morning. :patriot:

I need to get back into the 1911 game, lol. I bought an RIA Tactical about a year ago and loved it, just hated buying 45 ACP. Seeing all this 1911 awesomness gives me the itch again!
