    Curious as to everyone's opinion of STI brand 1911's. I took a chance on one last year (the Spartan model) and theres been no looking back. Granted I would love a Colt or a Remington, but how many of us ever reach the holy grail?

    Curious as to everyone's opinion of STI brand 1911's. I took a chance on one last year (the Spartan model) and theres been no looking back. Granted I would love a Colt or a Remington, but how many of us ever reach the holy grail?
    I wouldn't mind having one, would make a great home defense weapon imho.

    I got my 1911 because of how thin it is, which makes it easier for me to conceal. A double-stack in .45 even with thin grips would be too much for me to easily conceal.
