I think the person some people saw opening the door was Holmes himself. While leaving, he slapped something over the latch to prevent it from closing all the way. He went to his car, drove it around to the back, geared up, and went back in through the emergency exit he'd jimmied on exit. Tossed his grenades and went about his dastardly work.

Opening the emergency door would not trigger an alarm? :dunno:

Yeah, he could have destroyed it too since he planned everything. :dunno:
People are acting like he did this in a tizzy. He was well thought out and planned for everything. Well, except that there are people smart enough to not just go running into his apartment through the front door.

He said right away that his place was booby-trapped when the police arrested him.

Not sure why he would do that if he planned on killing even more people when the police would go to his apartment.

Maybe he realized that he killed enough people and decided to warn them in a moment of luciditiy, maybe he planned on telling them since the begining. :dunno:

There is a link on drudge. He was gathering this stuff for a couple months.

I thought that was a bogus report. He supposedly only told them there were explosives in the apartment.

It's not a question of simply not being ratified. It's a question of being affirmatively rejected.

When the President signs a treaty, it immediately goes into effect. It doesn't strictly speaking need to be ratified by the Senate and if it's never brought up for a vote, which Reid will not do because he knows he doesn't have the votes for it, then the treaty's status remains in that limbo, but limbo though it be, it'll still be marching toward implementation and enforcement.

A lot of damage can be done to our rights between Obama's pen and Romeny's inauguration with a Republican majority in both houses of Congress when the ATT can get its just repudiation.

Best for the ATT to never see the light of day, or the dark of Obama's pen.
The Signature of the POTUS or their Designated Agent at most only means that the Executive Institution charged with Negotiating the Treatise have found the Terms of the Treaty to be Satisfactory to the Negotiating and Signing Parties, and does NOT constitute a Promise that the Country will either become a Party to the Treaty or even Honor the intent of the Treaty.

A pair of properly armed Dads in the first two rows of the theater would have dispatched this maggot in less than "one clio's worth" of bullets. But there is a NoGuns policy, yeah, Ooops, I forgot. EBG
