I think I've told the story before. Probably 11-12 years ago I got dispatched to a "mass casualty hit and run" in a subdivision up off E 96th St. While en route I started picking up on some oddities in the dispatch and had the 911 dispatcher ask if the "victims" were geese. They were. Sumdood in a bro-dozer had mowed down at least half a dozen of them. It was comically absurd.

It's against the law, but in some ways he was a modern day hero. :):

This is what happens as a result of letting protesters get away with blocking traffic...

Man drives SUV at anti-fascist, No Space for Hate protesters near Bloomington farmers market

...“I got little kids, and you’re scaring them to death,” Clapper said to the protesters.

Later in an interview, Clapper said he felt like he had to go through the group because they were blocking the road. He said his children were screaming and crying in the back of the car...

I didn't even think it's against the law. He didn't drive up in somebody's yard to hit them. I guess maybe I could have called DNR to see if he had a migratory bird stamp? I dunno. What I actually did was borrow a scoop shovel, chuck some dead birds off the road, and go back in service after notifying dead animal pick up of their location.

...or when we, as a society, let people think their convenience is so important that they can (potentially) kill.

Let me ask - what's your opinion of him if it was not a protest, but a Shiners Parade? (anyone remember those cool night parades?)

    :bs:

That guy's kids have seen far worse things. In fact, I bet they were in the back seat cheering on dad as he showed them commies who's the boss.

Not gonna lie, I would have been pissed meeting this, but I also would have used my reverse gear.

All the more reason to give them a reason to cooperate and orchestrate. Police already present ahead of time, traffic already blocked for everyone's safety, this guy doesn't have his kids so scared he has to stop in the middle of them, yell at them, try to take a bandana off one of them, then get back out of his car again because somebody called him a naughty name. I'm sure that all calmed his kids right down and he in no way purposefully inserted himself into the mix.

I've been reading on INGO lately that personal liberty is the highest virtue and concern for groups is for socialists and commies. Who are we to say they can't personally liberty on foot in the street if that's what they want? Just because some group wants to use the roads for cars? Commie thinking. Everyone can do whatever they want on the roads or it's a tyranny.

Curious thought before my laptop battery conks out - Why are masked protestors in black scary to us, but red hats, plaid shirt, and a battle rifle slung in front seem so American?

    :dunno:

Honestly, if I wasn't part of that tribe (the right wing gun owners), the latter would be far more terrifying than the soy-boy beta cucks in the former.

Full disclosure: posted after three Manhattan cocktails. :40oz:

Reading through the article, the alleged victim, poor scared man, stops his SUV and gets out and confronts the masked Antifa thugs?

Seems like there is a little blame on both sides here. The thugs shouldn't have been blocking the street, but did he really have to confront them?

I guess all is good as long as no protesters are injured? They will live on to terrorize more innocent folks, folks just trying to get somewhere?

The protesters have as much right to block the roadways as law abiding citizens do to use them for travel, eh?

Frustratingly, hasn’t this always been the case? Whether it’s ANTIFA thugs showing their ****** as above, or unions on strike and blocking sidewalks and roads, or whether it’s the self appointed speed moderator clogging up the left lane because he believes “if you’re in a hurry, you should have left yesterday”, we’ve always had to grin and bear it. We can’t just mow through them or side-swipe the self appointed speed cop to get them out of our way (though, I bet we’ve all had the urge to do). They don’t have the right. But we don’t have the right to impart our own justice either. Frustrating as it may be.

Well-said. The protesters or other obnoxious people are in the wrong. It does not justify violent self-help.

This. It's a misdemeanor. Calm down and stop trying to make blocking traffic = riot. If someone is attacking your vehicle, guess what, you can kill them. Sitting in the road chanting hippy BS? You can't. Walking in the middle of the road chanting their hippy BS? You can't. Getting out of your car, yelling at them, physically grabbing them, and then claiming "but my children were so scared" is ridiculous. No, you were just angry they were there and decided to use your children as the justification to do what you wanted to do.

Out of curiosity, can someone point me to the posts about how upset they were when MI protesters used their cars to create traffic jams over the stay at home order?

Narodowy Bank Polski - It's the Polish National Bank protesting low interest rates.

Or maybe it's the New Black Panthers.

No, 62nd & Michigan was where the high speed chase guy ended up. Got out of his car and ran, got tazed, shot at cops, got shot.

Ah, New Black Panthers; yeah, I also rejected National Bank of Pakistan.

I guess I wasn't clear that I was asking the location of "the other shooting." I discovered the ambush shooting was about three miles north of the first shooting at 2200 Woodglen Drive.
