      Killed my first deer with a muzzleloader nearly 40 years ago. Still hunt and shoot with them. I think a Tennesee Mountain Rifle is a thing of beauty. I still have a dozen or so smokepoles left after giving most of my collection to my sons.

      New hunting rules?

      Currently it is 1.625. The PROPOSED rule is 1.8 mainly to allow the .460 S&W Mag cartridge to be used. This is in the process of being approved but will likely not go into effect until the 2012 season.
