What if you show up to a place that is having a school function? For example....You and your wife have the day off and she wants to go to the museum. You have no clue that, that day Mrs. Cooper's 1st grade class is on a field trip to the museum. You go there carrying having no clue or connection...
Florida no but my understand is all the other states your good. Handgunlaws says you can't unless you're 21 in Kentucky but that's not what their reciprocity law says and I don't know of any laws they have requiring someone to be 21 to carry concealed other than age to get the permit.
I agree. I also think by "term" of the license they may be talking about an expiration date on the license.
In my opinion having a "concealed carry" license does not restrict you from carrying openly in Indiana because they don't recognize the difference.
What law says so? The fact its says "terms there of"? Indiana does not recognize between open carry and concealed carry simply carry. My CWP allows me to carry a concealed weapon but is not a "term" of the permit.
Indiana recognizes all permits and does not distinguish between open carry and concealed carry simply carry. I carry on a North Dakota non-resident CWP in Indiana.
ETA: I'm not a resident of Indiana.
I have heard of Ohio cops confiscating pistols for "officer safety". Michigan cops do it as well although under the Michigan CPL law there is nothing that says they can.
I think there is more to life than being really really ridiculously good looking and that's why I'm moving from Michigan to Indiana ;)
Seriously though I was once wearing khaki shorts and a t-shirt OCing and someone asked me if I was a cop. I'm also 19 years old.
Thanks.
I'm from Portage, MI (Kalamazoo area) which is def not a small hicktown. I do go to Ferris State which does have a lot of people from small hicktowns lol.
Hey guys I'm moving to the Plymouth area from Michigan. Anyone live in that area? I was hoping to get some local knowledge about gun stores and the nearest shooting ranges. I'm assuming none too close because I gotta believe many just shoot in their back yard (I don't see that as being an option...
