Today my good friend who does not own any guns had an encounter.
While inside his in city home he saw a pair of teenagers walk through the empty plot next door. He then saw that they had come to a stop on the side of his house. So he moved to the bathroom to observe from that window. At...
@GodFearinGunTotin
Thanks.
Everything is back to as normal as could be. I still get a shot of adrenaline everytime I think about it. Just posting that link had me almost shaking for an hour.
Only thing I would probably do differently today is that even though things went well for me, I...
Yes.
I don't like to talk about it in real life, but I don't mind talking about it on the internet as much.
After it first happened I used this forum as kind of therapy because I didn't want talk about it to friends and family.
Here is my tale.
More than happy to answer questions.
That was going to be my thinking. For not much more inconvenience than a reload you get another fully functional loaded gun.
I don't personally carry a BUG or an extra magazine. I pocket carry what most would consider a BUG as my primary (Keltec PF9). But the old adage of "two is one, and...
I love the first episode where the civilian doesn't just win but beats the crap out of the military types.
Then the guy says by the way I wanted to join the Army but they wouldn't take me cause I'm gay.
$13 is well worth it to support a local business. The internet has killed the local shop. I think you should keep your dollars in the local community whenever possible. And as others have pointed out the benefit is in establishing relationships with the store owners and being able to lay...
I live by the school that if you see my gun someone is probably getting shot. If your mindset isn't "I'm going to pull the trigger" the gun shouldn't even come out.
Bumpity
Just saw this today. I lag behind on the news.
But this guy is awesome. He was on Colbert, and I teared up a little. You could see that as he was being asked to remember the situation, he really didn't want to go back to that place in his mind.
Definately a hero.
Hoo-ah SSG...
I'm a fairly new hunter, and a woodworker.
Combine the two and you get me carving myself a longbow out of maple.
I read in the hunting regs that a bow needs to be #35 pull to hunt deer.
The archery shop helped me out today and told me that my pull was #31 at 27". That was pulling to my chin...
Amen. Having recently been involved in something similar, you better believe the above quote.
My opinion... Hide, Draw, and be a witness.
If he points gun at you - shoot him.
If he shows any intention to harm anyone else - shoot him.
Last thing - you still need to follow the 4 rules...
Guy got 15 years Department of Corrections.
Anyone know when that really means he can get out (good behaviour, etc.)?

I got fired.
My story.
I guess I'm going agree with "looks silly", but if that's the way you want to roll.
If I saw someone with an empty holster I would probably just assume he secured his firearm in his vehicle for whatever reason and leave it at that.
I've heard of this and of course 100% agree.
I think it should be taken further.
I feel that the only way a private company should be able to force you to disarm is if they have provided enough armed security to take down at least one violent maniac armed with multiple weapons.
I'm OK with...
Absolutely true. If we are going about banning things we should ban all guns AND all dogs. Boy, that .22 calibre is sure gonna sting when it bites your ankles.
My wife is the one who wanted the pit we own - it is her second, (the first one got to be around 15 and was so old we had to put him...
Considering this. But, getting job leads already ... so maybe not. It has been good be home with my family while on suspension.
I didn't mean to mislead the backdoor was an example of prior examples of disregard for safety. It had just been repaired within weeks prior to the robbery...
