I am a total noob, so take this with a grain of salt... I too have been a bit apprehensive about the Glocks from what I have read, but so far so good... Been reloading with the same press as you for a month or so now... 135 and 165 gr Rainier RNFP with power pistol. My G23 gen3 slightly bulges...
I purchased everything separately too, FYI. I heard it's not the best to go with a kit if you plan on doing it forever. I like to custom-pick my tools too, though...
total +1 to all that! The handbooks really are good for a good grasp on everything. I would advise ordering bullets and powder according to a specific recipe you find in those books so you have a good starting reference and don't have to start guessing right off the bat (like I did, dough!)...
alright, thanx for the comments and suggestions guys! all good input!!
Sloughfoot: that sums it up perfectly! I never thought of it like that...
OK, so we have established I have a humidity problem. I do not have a moisture-o-meter, but will look into that. I never really thought it was a...
Tomlinson's in Churubusco has quite a bit! http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&ved=0CDQQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tomlinsonshootingsupplies.com%2F&ei=4eYCUrqEA6eqyAHGiIGwAg&usg=AFQjCNFYIHKSte5q-bmMzKiJR2JgSvewkA&sig2=SfDZbilV25KVa8kTxr8Ffg&bvm=bv.50310824,d.aWc
yes, they're in a basement. There's a dehumidifier about 4 feet away, so I didn't think it would be too damp... darn... Thank you for the suggestions!!! I have some 0000 steel wool... is that OK to try? I have motor oil, WD-40, Ballistol, and FP10.
I bought a CW40, am really impressed so far, and the thing conceals like a dream! Trigger is weird yes, but it's a good weird I won't mind training with. I love how it feels in the hand. Their other models look nice too! I wouldn't hesitate...
Awesome, man!! Congrats! I too had to ruin a few components to learn. Wife and I just got started a few weeks ago (after months of research) and have been having a BLAST making our own ammo!! I got the Lee Classic Turret and dies for .357 and .40S&W. I had no luck finding a recipe for...
Hello everyone! Here comes a NOOB question! I tried a search for this topic, but didn't find any specific to reloading, so here goes...
After a few weeks of reloading, I have noticed annoying spots of rust appearing on my press handle and the dies themselves...
Uploaded with ImageShack.us...
I would recommend the Lee Classic Turret press! The best of both worlds and I can load well over 100 per hour, not rushing. I had been saving all the brass I could find, which helped with the start up costs. Lee brand really rules and is high-quality stuff for the money!!
After a bit-over-6-month wait, my wife and I both received our licenses yesterday!! Yay!! ...finally!! Looking at CM40 to carry (the G23 is a bit too big for my skinny ass!)...
Tomlinson's up here in Churubusco has primers (WSP, WSPM, CCI550, Wolf rifle, call to be sure what they have in stock)! ...but that's a bit of a far drive 4 U...
Another huge +1 for the Lee Classic Turret Press!! I have been loading .40S&W and .357 on it for a few weeks now and it was extremely easy and fun for me, a total noob to reloading, to get up and running. Lee products are very high-quality for the money. I am super impressed with their...
Hi I'm Geoff and I love shooting guns! I run a home studio here in Fort Wayne and my other hobbies include shooting and reloading. I am glad to be a part of this community and psyched I found it! Cheers!!
