Bass and Bucks is your best bet. Very friendly people, and nice benches or berm to shoot from. I ventured up there late in the year last year, October, and the grass and weeds were a bit high for shooting off of the berm. That said, very 50 friendly. They do not allow tannerite after some...
Golf balls, rocks with a .308 at long range, matchbox cars. 2 liter bottles full of water with a .223.
I second the phone books soaking wet. I duct taped them together, soaked them overnight, and they really do make a good way to capture bullets.
Do any dealers in IN stock the Ruger Mk 2 Target Pistol uppers, like the Pac Lite?
I saw one while on a trip to AZ, but I've never seen them at any dealers here, you always have to order them, and pay the outrageous transfer fee.
Thanks,
I bought it a few years ago at the 1500 (Back when the 1500 was worth going to), and they had a discount for both books. I didn't realize at the time that it was the author's wife, but they were exceptionally friendly and gave me his card, said to call him if I had any questions after reading...
Now why can't I get a ride in something like that? My thought is that every taxpayer should get one dream ride in any toy the .gov has. Figher jet, submarine, black helicopter ;), after all, if I got a carrier launch or ride in an F16 or U2, I might not feel so bad paying $30k a year in taxes...
Liberty sells a door "hangar" of sorts. It mounts right into the same holes as the carpet on the door, and holds quite a few pistols and accessories. Beware what a previous poster said though, thick guns like revolvers have to fit in a pouch that is not next to a shelf, or there isn't enough...
I like the rifle case. Was it a soft case? I didn't think paint would adhere to flexible items like fabric. In automotive paint at least, I always had to use a flex agent.
Thanks for the tips on the compressor and brushes. I would have never thought the Harbor Freight brush could be any...
Your concept of using stencils makes it look like something anyone can do, but from your work I can tell you are no amateur.
I'd love to see one with a Vietnam or WW2 type scene, helicoter dropping GI's into a drop zone or a soldier with an M1 Garand. Just different tastes, but I like your...
Well I've learned a lot from this thread so I'll add my :twocents:.
I'm glad to read that others were disappointed by Glock. I tried to like them, but just never could. The only one I shot that was accurate was a heavily modified one, and it still didn't fit my hand right.
Of guns that I...
I enjoyed that, thanks. I'd have loved to see the face on the Hornet pilots face :crying:
Reminds me of the old LearJet story. When the Lears were new, and the hottest things out there, some guys in the tower were commenting about how impressive the climb out was and asked the pilots what...
Our Golden had very dry, itchy skin. We had been feeding him weight loss formula food. Through lots of research, it seemed like the food was the culprit. I started feeding him Eagle Pack holistic food or the Eagle Pack with salmon. Not only did his weight not go up, his skin issues cleared...
How do those special plates work, is it an annual $40 fee, or just a one time fee to cover the cost of the plate?
Do I just go to the DMV when my registration is due to ask for this one?
Regardless, that is awesome, I can't wait for my plate to expire now!
PS> Forgot to add, check out RFC Home for some GREAT info on 10/22's and all things rimfire. It is an addition though, you can never have too many 10/22's!
I might as well go. I have to drive up to the South Bend area anyway. Never went to Shipshee for a show so I'll give it a try. The last time I went to a good show in that area, it was at the OLD South Bend train station, that must have been 15 years ago or more. Picked up a new stainless...
21st Century had a Romanian for sale, I believe they were asking $800 with a scope. I thought that was a little high, as I have seen them in the $600 range, although I've also seen them for over $800, so I don't know what a good price is. Theirs included a scope.
Another vote for the XD 45 Compact. I love mine. I went out and bought the XD 40 subcompact based on how reliable and fun to shoot the 45 was. The 40 became my carry gun, and the 45 my nightstand gun. Not even the first jam with either of them, no matter what I feed it.
I wouldn't fret the weight issue. Although the PPK is heavier than some others, it is no moreso than say a Glock with a full mag of .40 or .45. The amazing thing about the PPK and like sized weapons is how easy they are to conceal.
I have a PPK and so does my wife. Mine is the interarms...
Don't forget to run a golden rod or something to dehumidify the inside of the safe too...especially important in a garage that is probably humid.
I'm jealous of the garage, that looks like a lot of extra space!
