      I would go with either one of the Aks. I would go with the 74, the polish ones are good and cheap the Ammo is cheaper than the 7.62 and you can get Tapco mags that work well.

      Friend of mine owns one and it shoots good but the rate of fire is real low. You can pull the trigger as fast as you want but the gun only shoots so fast. That was the only bad thing I could find with his.

      They are nice and fun to shoot both all of that military surplus ammo is corrosive. You can find newer ammo that isn't corrosive but it cost more. The biggest problem is you have to buy 7.62x54R which is different than standard 7.62x54

      ak mounts I think the company is sniper mounts or snpier scopes but they make a mount that goes where the rear sight is. And if your optic gets damaged the mount acts as a back up iron sight.
