Anyone ever broken the safety on their 1911?

Oh he does! Only set you back $5000 extra!

Anyone ever broken the safety on their 1911?

$1500 is the cut off between getting a better 1911 and flushing money down the toilet. Every penny past $1500 just flush, same thing. If GOD himself spent the seventh day hand crafting the greatest 1911 the world has ever seen, guess what? Not worth a penny more than $1500. Sure you can spend...

Anyone ever broken the safety on their 1911?

Some people just like pissing money away, helps them feel superior. "Hey guys check out my $7000 1911 it's just like your $1000 1911 except for the mammoth tusk grips"

Should I build my Remington 597 or replace it?

      PMAG Broke!

The stuff we made was outstanding in the cold, we made after market performance snow mobile skis and conveyor belt parts used in flash freezing applications. Don't think that would be it but I'm sure it's not the exact same poly so who knows.

      PMAG Broke!

I have 6 gen3's I keep loaded and never had any issues with. That being said I worked in a factory that produced Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene. Great stuff but some of the additives used to change the colors had extreme effects on the brittleness. I'm wondering if that has anything to...

Anyone ever broken the safety on their 1911?

Not sure if you are aware but it's a fitted part. I mean...... I know you didn't ask if it was fitted.....but......well.......it has to be fitted..........just sayin........if somebody has one......you'll have to pay a gunsmith.......ya know......cause it's fitted.........that is to say.....you...

Does the 597 shoot good? If so run with it!

      CONFLICTING LOAD DATA--HELP NEEDED

Error on the side of safety. It's a lot easier to push a lodged bullet out of the barrel than it is to replace your hand!

      Glock smithing

Very easy to work on. About the only thing that requires fitting is the connector if you replace it.

Very cool thread. Do any research on the funny colored projectiles?

AR-15 and M-16 Show And Tell

You'll get by just fine without, but it's a nice feature.

AR-15 and M-16 Show And Tell

Should be awesome! Speaking of Seekins, if the gas block isn't on it's way get the adjustable! (If this isn't a life n death ar) mine posted a few pics down has one. They are great but a little finicky. Mines a 14.5 mid with spikes comp, super soft shooting!
