      LC9S Magazine Disconnect

There are also those who say you are opening yourself up to liability for removing a factory safety from your weapon.

First time handgun purchase, need help!

Springfield has a pretty hard to beat promo going on right now for their pistols. It may push you over the edge for the XDm. I would also recommend the Sig P320, HK VP9, or Walther PPQ. Also, don't rule out the Ruger SR9. There are some great striker-fired options out now.

      My first 45

Conrats on the .45! I've been eyeing the FDE model lately.

      CZ 75 bd vs CZ 75 SP01

The SP-01 is a pretty beefy gun. It does allow it to shoot very smoothly and with a little Cajun trigger work, can be an elite level shooter.

First Carry Gun (On a Budget)

Thanks for all the responses. I am trying to stick with 9mm because it is what I have stocked.

What is the best "line" of pistols?

Are you including revolvers? If so, I think Smith and Wesson is pretty tough to beat.

      thinking about a CZ P07

I have been intrigued by these as well. I kinda prefer the full size P-09 though. 19 round capacity and for some reason every P-07 I've tried doesn't seem to have as good of a trigger as the full size. Maybe the 2014 model has been improved.

First Carry Gun (On a Budget)

Thanks for all the replies. I'm gonna try to make a LC9s or Shield work.

Anyone have any luck at the Lake County Gun Show?

I was wondering if anyone grabbed a good deal today. I went looking for a deal on a carry gun in 9mm. All I found was average prices and a lot of inflated ones. Best deal was a used LC9 for $320 old.

      CZ 75

The CZ 75 is probably the world's foremost combat pistol. Be warned, it is difficult to own just one.

First Carry Gun (On a Budget)

Wow. I knew mentioning a Kel Tec and a Taurus in the same thread would be controversial. I appreciate most of the input so far. BehindBlueI's comment is very relevant and another reason why I don't want to carry the VP9. The Walther PPS is one of the only choices for a CCW pistol with a...

First Carry Gun (On a Budget)

This is my first opportunity to carry since I was living in California before. I just want to make it as convenient as possible so I can get accustomed to it.

First Carry Gun (On a Budget)

I have applied for a lifetime LTCH and am waiting for it in the mail. I just want to avoid the inevitable hassle of some ignorant person freaking out on an open carry. I did buy the VP9.

First Carry Gun (On a Budget)

Thanks Yup. I've consolidated down to 9mm and 5.56 and have a decent buildup of those calibers. For the next 6 months or so things will be tight, but I won't need to buy any ammo. Good point for first time buyers though.

First Carry Gun (On a Budget)

I'm looking for my first carry gun. Settled on 9mm. I picked up a VP9 the other day and planned on getting a Shield as well, but some unforeseen bills have stopped that idea. I'm looking to stay at $300-$325 out the door. Due to my current budget, waiting to save up a little more is not an...

Help me choose my next pistol!

If you have to stay with Glock, a 30s is your best bet. Of not, 1911.

      Ruger P95, 9mm

Ruger's CS is top notch. Call them and they will make it right. P95's are built like tanks and it should eat any ammo you feed it.
