Pretend you can't afford a Johnson Safe...

I bought my Ft. Knox as a floor model years ago from Kiesler's, and it knocked about $800 off the cost. Its not really a store brand, I guess, but its been a good safe. Frankly I wouldn't waste my money on a snap on or something like that, as it looks like it could be pried open pretty quick...

      Amazon knows me too well!!

Mine is currently recommending me an AK grip, jerky spice, and something called an "oxygen absorber". 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

Where do I join 1911s anonymous?

1911s are good for you. Its like being addicted to healthy food. Don't fight it, just enjoy it. Springfield Loadeds are amazing guns, especially at the price point. I've had one for around 8 years, who knows how many rounds through it, and the only issue I've ever had is a night sight vial...

      Ever dropped a gun?

Well, I disagree in the situation I was talking about. There is no reason to not carry a round under the hammer of a modern revolver and absolutely no reason to not carry one in the pipe on a modern SA. They don't need to be treated in the same way as a my old single action .44 or a revolver...

      Shooting range sued for sexism

I'm going to send my school age child into a liqour store and then when they won't sell him a bottle of vodka, sue for age discrimination. After all, you have to treat everyone the exact same at all times and for all things, right?

Any of you bought a gun without holding/testing it out?

Never without handling, but usually without firing.

Zombie AK with under-barrel mounted chainsaw!!

You should mount the chainsaw horizontally for maximum zombie carnage while sweeping through your barricade. Plus you'll need to get one of these in black: If its not black, it won't be tactical enough. Your chainsaw bayonet will have an allergic reaction to any non-tactical wrench coming...

      Ever dropped a gun?

Some guns will, and lots of folks aren't real knowledgeable about the differences so they treat all guns like they will. I carry my .44 without one under the hammer because its an pre-transfer bar revolver and it may very well go off if its dropped and lands wrong.

      things still made in America

Some are, some are made here. My Ram was built in Michigan, but some are built in Mexico. If you buy new your window sticker will tell you which plant built it. Fiat says they are going to start producing Alfa Romeos and Masarati SUVs stateside, too, with the possibility of 3 plants opening...

      Don't Shoot & Text?

No, he had the business end right under his chin. Hands folded over the barrel and chin resting on his hands. I actually bought some of those sandals that only hook over the big toe. Its so friggin' hot I didn't blame them for not wanting to wear boots. My dumb butt took Red Wings with me...

      Need help finding shoulder holster

If you get a Undertaker in horsehide, you can pass it down to your grand kids along with the gun. They really do great work, I love the 1911 holsters I have from them.

      5,000 STG44's found in Syria?!?

Cold war supplies are still plentiful, as well, and a lot of smaller/poorer nations don't have a standard issue weapon. You'll find a hodgepodge of older M-16 variants, the ever popular AK-47, and even FALs floating around the Middle Eastern militaries. I don't know where they get the stuff...

      Mad at guns

I stabbed myself under the finger nail with an AK trigger spring and snapped a dremel bit today and immediately thought of this thread. It gets better. Right? RIGHT??

      Why do you shoot?

I like turning money into smoke and noise, mostly.

Need ideas for a good yard "warning" sign...

That's keep me out. Or maybe "Copperhead Preserve, watch your step". I just have ADT signs, as well as ADT. If you are a vet they have a discount program, plus its on a cell phone signal so no cutting the house wire. It won't keep people out, but it will make them hurry if they get in...

      AKM SAR-1 Safety Not Working

Glad you got it fixed, I was about to put a picture up of what it should look like. I was going to say unless someone installed a shortened safety lever there is no way to rack it with the safety on. That trigger you posted doesn't look like the factory one, so hopefully you've already got...

This is probably the prettiest gun I own.

Psst, look again. They share a daddy, but that's not a 1911.

      Need help finding shoulder holster

High Noon Holsters does good work, at a variety of price points. You can get synthetic leather non-molded on the cheap, molded leather in the middle, or molded horse hide for big $$. Under Armor Under Taker I've got holsters close to 10 years old from them that look like new other than paint...

When a double barrel just isn't enough barrel

Apparently we missed the auction, but for the low price of $50k you could have brought this baby home from London. I found this interesting story online today: Rare one of a kind triple-barreled shot gun sold for over $50,000 « News and Views | Express yourself on the most happening...
