      Rifled slug barrel ammo

I had great luck with the Accu-Tips as well. They shot very well in my 870, didn't kick the snot out of me at the bench, and killed very well. The only thing I didn't like is they did not exit, even on yearlings. All my shots were within 20yds, which could have been part of it. Some guys...

Even on private ground you have to abide by the game laws for equipment use.

      Semiauto 12ga for Duck/Goose?

Browning Maxus 3.5" is what I go to for all of my big bird hunting needs. Had a Super Black Eagle and hated it.

New SBR project... maybe a little over my head

Since you can't see it with the booster installed, my :twocents: would leave the barrel at 10.5". More velocity and probably a little less muzzle flash. While a slightly different animal, I am not impressed with the 5.45's performance out of an 8" barrel.

New SBR project... maybe a little over my head

I would start with Troy Sellars at InRange. He is an AK oracle.

      Micro Galil /NFA questions

When I built my Krinkov, I bought all of the components and sent them off to build while I waited on my stamp to come back. Since the Galil is an AK design, I would be led to believe that you could do the same. If I recall correctly it has to do with the riveting process where an AR just pins...

      m48 slugs

Foster slugs are relatively soft and the ribs compress even more as they go through a choke. Best accuracy is usually with a cylinder bore, but you never know until you put it on paper. Even with a full choke you should be ok as long as everything else is in good working order.

      Ammo differences. Quality wise.

I have had issues where Hornady will switch components between lots. I had some .308 SSTs that started off with their regular Frontier brand brass and then switched to match brass in another batch and then back again. I've had slugs that varied accuracy-wise from lot to lot as well. I quit...
