      You'd need a whole lot of panels, a $190 kit from Harbor Freight will put out 45w, 10 of those would probably do a chest freezer (assuming you have a bank of batteries to power it during non-peak hours), so figure 2-3 grand. At that point, you're better off with a generator

      I had it where the drain hose coming out of the water pump had a pinhole, right after an off-balance load. Only during the spin cycle does the water pump push the water out through that hose, so it only leaked during spin, and only a cup or two. I believe it was on a whirlpool

      For anything that I don't want to attract grit, I just use graphite. Everything else, tranny fluid lasts a good long time, although its got a different smell to it. Probably wouldn't use it on an expensive gun though

      I suppose if you put the cup full of water in a vacuum chamber, you could pull a vacuum and get the water to boil at room temperature. If you mean heating up water in it, and boiling it at standard atmospheric pressure, then no.
