      Advice on Elk Hunt

Savage rifle with good glass. 270, 308, 30-06 and 300wm will all do what you want. Nuff said

sr9c - My first Ruger... My last Ruger

I think you just had a lemon. I've literally shot over a dozen different Sr9s and sr9cs which all functioned perfectly. One of the guns has over 2k rounds through it. I wouldn't let this experience ruin your trust in ruger, they have a lot of good firearms. You should have taken them up on...

      traded my m&p9c for a glock 23!!

Just like a house, you need a solid foundation for ccw. Start with a high quality belt. A&g or beltman have excellent quality belts. It may sound stupid to spend 60-90$ on a belt, but proper support and longevity will make all the difference when you carry

      Remington 770

Save the extra 80-100$ and get a savage. You will thank us. I had a 770 and it felt like it was made by someone with feet for hands. The bolt was sloppy, and would catch if not pushed in perfectly straight. Trigger felt like there was asphalt cured in there. Now my savage, has a great...

I have never hunted - I want to squirrel hunt

I would go with a 10/22. Cheap and accurate. A bolt is not going to provide you with anything extra for squirrel. Go out there and have some fun

Best bullet weight for 9 MM

If your gun works properly with 147 grain bullets, I would go for them. Also, I am a big fan of the speer gold dots. Accurate, great expansion and reliability. I use them in all my sd guns

      Mosin, Scope

Brass stackers mosin scope. It uses the rear sights to attach and is very sturdy. You can then attach a long eye relief (pistol scope)

      Wal mart ammo.

It's always worked out for me. However, its some of the dirtiest ammo I have ever used/seen

A question I really don't want to ask.

You can even use your cellphone. Wait till you hear noises and nost record the entry. Make sure you ha e enough space andcan record that long. Buy a camera and return it. Borrow a deer cam. Anything to legally protect yourself. Also, even if its a low life peice of ***** human being, its...

      Coffee in Tree Stand

Smoke rises so cigarettes won't bother deer. And if your hunting in rut, a buck won't care about anything. I think you should be fine drinking a cup or two up in a stand

Looking for a new 22 for the range

Can't go wrong with a ruger 10/22. Good accuracy, reliable, and tons of aftermarket parts.

      Any Savage shooters?

I'm sure glad I decided to get the savage. All these guns look great. I have been just using some silver bear .308 and been getting really good results, I can't wait to see what I can do with some premium ammo

      Any Savage shooters?

Thanks! I sighted it in myself (first time) and I got it to to do about 1/4 inch but that was at 50 yards. I think I am going to wait till I get a good piece of glass on it before I try anything past 100

^^^^ that looks awesome. I didn't know you could change the barrels out. Did yours come with the accu trigger and not like it?

      Any Savage shooters?

I have been thinking about getting a another savage in .223 or maybe 7.62x.39. Is the accu-trigger all that its cracked up to be? And anyone know where I can find some stock options for my model 11. I always awww them for the 111 but never the 11
