The day the earth stood still and America died.

Because the Senate won't even vote on a budget? They don't have respect for the Constitution, which ought to constrain them. There shouldn't need to be anything to force them; it ought to come from within as part of their duty. A budget is part of their duty. I fear they don't know what duty...

America is over as we have known it

Within Obamacare is a provision that employers must pay for "medical abortions" meaning a medication related to RU486. OB/GYNs will be required to prescribe them. If they do not, there are heavy fines that will be levied against them. So people who believe that abortion no matter the route is...

      Obama wins

This morning on Quinn & Rose's radio show, Quinn said,"You went to bed a citizen and woke up a subject." I think he has a point, but I am not at all pleased to be a subject. If I had time today, I'd put some holes in Redcoat targets.

The day the earth stood still and America died.

And hopefully, the Republicans will realize that it's time to change from Democrat-lite to a clear difference, one that follows the Constitution. I'm not sure it will happen, though.

      For Enfield lovers only!

My husband has a 1917 Enfield that he took to a few Appleseeds. I used it to hit steel at 500 yards. What an experience! You have a real treasure. Hope you get many years of enjoyment from it.

      Go Vote = Get Rep

I voted in our small town in Ohio. Hubby and I ate a pre-vote breakfast, then stood in line for an hour before we could cast our ballots to save our Liberty. Here's hoping Ohio has sense enough to cast out the lawlessness coming from the White House. If no other reason existed for their...

Carry in Ohio for the day?

Not according to Ohio law. As long as there are no bullets in the magazine, it is unloaded. Here's the section of the Ohio Revised Code. Those with a license are under no restrictions, and can use a car mounted holster, or leave it on the seat, but I can't find the proper section of the law...

      Confederate flag

According to David Hackett Fisher in Albion's Seed: four British folkways in America, the word Hoosier comes from hoozer or hoozier in the old Cumberland dialect, which means something or someone who was unusually large and rough. "Redneck "and "cracker" also came from England. Also, I think...

Gun Rights Policy Article, Appleseed, TSA, Pictures

TTAG=The Truth About Guns. That's the blog that the article is found on. Took me a while, too.

who let this happen in Egypt?

I am! Carpet bomb the lot of them! Enough is enough. Act like rabid, feral beasts, and die like beasts. This is an Act of War. They started it yesterday. We can finish it today. Level the place back to the stone age that they seem to prefer. (Obama is a sympathizer to the beasts that did...

New 10/22-based rifle from Kahr Arms

I'm not real fond of the trigger in a stock Ruger. At my last Appleseed, one of the orange hats had a volquartsen trigger which I got to dry fire. Oh, my, was that nice. Smooth as butter. Not that I'm trying to get you to spend more money or anything, but that trigger was so much better than...

Mitt Romney on ALL the Maine delegates being stripped of their credentials...

I don't think it's the Paul delegation they are worried about. They don't like the Tea Party. I think that's who they are trying to throw under the bus.

      question for dads with daughters

If you are worried about kisses on the face, then don't let him alone with your daughter, ever. Make sure you know where she is, and he is, during family gatherings. Your gut may be telling you that you have more to worry about.

State of California Law Barring Parents From

They've already passed a law against it, and have arrested the first rabbi for circumcising a baby. Rabbi in Germany charged for performing a ritual circumcision

How much can a Jetta haul?

And I thought I overloaded my Jetta going to an Appleseed Shoot with 8 rifles, cans of en bloc clips, camping equipment and two daughters. Had a heck of a time getting up the steep hill into the range, but after some gravel spraying, I got up the hill.

Guns, >20 oz Sodas, Baby Formula?

I'm not sure what blood type has to do with it. I'm O negative, and nursed 9 babies. The only thing I had to cut out was broccoli/cabbage and the like, and lettuce. Some of them also didn't like tomato sauce, either. I used to be much more dogmatic about breastfeeding. Now I am much more laid...

Detonics Combat Master HT, what's your take/experience?

My husband and I both carry Detonics. He knows a lot about them. I just carry one. Both of ours are older, though. They are reliable, comfortable for me to shoot, and just plain cool. There's a yahoo group for Detonics fans. My husband has been on it for years.

Stopped and detained by Beech Groves Finest

Early in the thread, someone said that LEO couldn't return a firearm on the spot, that they had to issue a receipt and the firearm could be picked up in three weeks after they explained why they took it.

Stopped and detained by Beech Groves Finest

Okay, I have read more than half of this thread and am seriously confused. In Ohio, police are allowed to take a firearm for the duration of the stop and return it in the same condition as it was removed. There had been some LEO field stripping firearms, and returning them in baggies. It's not...
