      Guns in cars while intoxicated

MI just sounds like a lovely state. I'm headed to the U.P. next month... Anyone have specific areas to avoid? I'm stopping near Manistee (Lake Michigan side) on the way up. My route actually takes me around Benton Harbor. Thanks...

Sheriff Deputy tries to get me to leave Anderson Public Library.

I loved the line, "Why are you open carrying?"... "Probably for the same reason you do." LOL OP, I think you did a fine job, and better then I would have. We're just not use to confrontations as they are. He obviously enjoys the power trip he has. Thanks for sharing your story.

OC guys...... I am meeting you half-way

I had to comment on the SP101. Although I've replaced it with a baby Glock, my SP101 is the hammerless 38/357 and is still a favorite handgun of mine.

Lessons learned from the Zimmerman trial.

Not that I learned this, but it's reaffirmed to me that the majority of our society prefers to coddle criminals. We live in a fallen world, so I'm not surprised by it, rather I'm sadden for it.

      Guns and Booze

If I intend to have a drink with dinner out, the gun stays at home.

Bad experiences on the shooting range

At the Eagle Creek range, I took my wife one time. I always work with her to improve her shooting, handling of different guns, she's very safe, and a good shot. Well one of the range guys, who was big, old and bossy, saw this "cute little girl" walk in, and proceeded to think that he need to...

      Thoughts on your Police Officers

I haven't had a lot of interaction with LEOs, but the few I've met for personal reasons are nice guys, and if there is something in common, they're great to talk to. I ran into a guy at the Eagle Creek range one time and we had a great conversation, and he even gave me a Glock magazine that he...

      Colorado P dog report

      That's the truth! :):

Is there a way to Micro Chip Guns

Just tape your iPhone to your gun, and you're good to go! Seriously, I just hate the thought of the government wanting to get in the game of tracking my gun. I just want to leave my plastic gun as it is, and where only I know where it's at (as it's only my responsibility).

      New Gander Mountain Grand Opening

I've always liked Gander and shop there, other then ammo. They've always had high ammo prices, but I suspect they get first time gun owners buying it there along with their guns.

      22 vs 17hmr

I grew up hunting prairie dogs out west with .22s. A few years ago I took my .17 HMR Winchester 94 on a trip. And wow... no kidding that they explode. Very effective round. :yesway:

Relying others for our own security doesn't always work.

That is shocking on so many levels. No doubt, so sad that she didn't have a gun to blow him away with (or as said didn't use something!).

Koa campground in south bend Elkhart no guns!

I always have a firearm while camping, and it's my business not theirs.

      Indy TV/Radio personaity robbed

That would be pretty scary. He obviously had nothing to lose if he had shot her.

      Four killed in Waynesville

Unfortunately to the average misinformation voter, when they hear this on the morning TV news, they think it's typical gun owners killing people. Drugs and thugs... go figure.

I NEED HELP! A STATE TROOPER STOLE MY WALLET AND ARRESTED ME!

What an awesome thread. I tried to read much of it, but I have to next drive out to mom's and mow her yard. I sure hope I don't run into Officer Davis. (lol)

      Stalking a Tom

Nice story! Thanks for sharing. I've never hunted wild turkeys, but I did raise their dumb cousins as a youth.
