What are your requirements for the truck?
There is a lot of 6.0 bashing out there. It is funny that there are a TON of them out on the road, working every day.
There are few people that I know that have had both that would rather work or tow out the 7.3. The 7.3 is a great and reliable...
I forget how much they were, but Smith and Wesson has some very nice Mag-pul enhanced carbines at Bradis that are VERY nice.
My co-worker has one, and he paid less than the one I made just like it. And he got it from Gander Mountain
Bought a CMMG upper for my son to shoot. Work very well and very accurate. Only drawback I found with it was that the plastic charging handle failed on round 8. I was lucky that I brough a .223 upper as well and just switched charging handles. Otherwise works great and is very accurate.

worn sight?
On several of my milsurps the bluing, black oxide, whatever coating has rubbed of to shiny bare metal. This usually help obscure the sight picture. I have used the old trick of letting lighter soot blacken up the sights for a better picture before.
I would try something like...
DEKA!!!
After having 3 Wal-Mart batteries fail in prematurely in 3 different vehicles I finally put a pair of Deka batteries in the Wife's Truck. Got them down town from Taylor and Blackburn Battery Wharehouse. Truck starts better than ever.
These batteries came highly recommended to me...
Uhm Yeah..... I am pretty sure she has a good handle on 1 and 2. I think this is more about educating the useful idiots (in communist terms) than anything else. #3........Just uhm yeah....we'll see if your still saying that in a few years. Government run and personal...
AK-74 ALL the way
I love the AK-74 variant of rifles for all the reasons mentioned before. More accurate, cheaper, and easier to shoot.
The 7.62 AK just don't work for me. Physically painful to shoot (on the cheek bone for some reason, not so with SKS for some reason) but '74 barely even...
I really like the SKS
It is rock solid. Milled steel reciever, wood stock. Good stocks, and good stock design. When I had access to a nice range with steel plates I could routinely hit a 6" X 6" steel plate at 100 yards with the SKS, about 9 out of 10 times.
Heed the comments not to...
I have had several AKs and only had two that even slightly impressed me. The WASR both grouped minute of large pizza at 50 yards. My wifes CUR was capable of hitting a 2 foot round steel plate at 300 yards every time.
I tried to replace the WASR-10 with a Hungarian model. It is build much...
I like most laminates
I have installed laminate from low end to high end in rentals and family property. Generally get what you like. I have done thick laminate, thin laminate, cheap laminate, and expensive laminate.
Generally I just put the cheap foam padding down in rentals with good...
Can be done.....
I drove a '92 LX 5.0 5-spd for 15 years before finally deciding a Mustang made a lousy truck.
I put two bins full of my college text books in trunk and kept a snow shovel in it at all times.
Some helpful hints. forget 1st gear. just forget it (unless your doing donuts...
