It probably is a setup, but what happens when they get some inbred, inarticulate, fringe gun owner on TV? Or Don from Don's guns (maybe I'm being redundant :rolleyes:)? How does that affect public perception?

As far as price, is your main concern how much you spend, or if the 1911 is quality? I don't know about you but I have purchased things in the past that were "good deals"...
I went to a rifle course and a pistol course a few years ago. Here's my opinion. :twocents:
Pros:
Great facility.
Spectacular scenery.
Did a few days in Vegas after the classes.
Cons:
Dogmatic.
Geared towards pushing large numbers of students through. Little one-on-one instruction...

just sign up for a class. Read the suggested gear list, read some reviews online with a grain of salt. Relax. Go. Learn. Expect to make mistakes (that is part of learning). ;) Correct the mistakes and drive on.
