Been rocking this light since the June 1500. No strobing, extra buttons or gizmos. Just a light that feels like it is rock solid and a 2 stage tailcap -> momentary on 15 lumens press harder for 200 lumens or twist for constant on 15 or farther for 200

Shay recommended this light at his flashlight class and the Raven concealment guys said it was gtg. I'm impressed so far.

I like the ability to run without a constant "on". That just may be my next light.

Got it. Great light but difficult to find a mount if you want to use as a weapon light as discussed in another thread. Diameter is .84". Silent tail cap. Twist for constant on. Reversible pocket clip is also handy.

LED Lenser makes some great lights for much less in price. Made in Germany or probably China like everything else. I picked up one of their models at Lowes for $45. It's a tactical style light with on/off/momentary rear button. The cool thing about it is that it focuses from broad to spot beam. I haven't seen many lights do that.

LED LENSER - professional, focusable LED-Flashlights by Zweibrueder Optoelectronics GmbH & Co.KG

Do they make an intelligently engineered defense/utility light that I can comfortably clip to my pocket every day?

Do they offer the same output and run time as a Surefire?

Can I trust them to remain waterproof while kayaking, fishing, or fighting flood waters?

Can I smash someones skull with one and know that it will work afterwards?

Can I bust out a car window when the door is stuck to rescue myself or others?

Can I drop it on concrete, drive over it, and know that it will still work?

Can I be sure that if I do manage to break it, they will replace it for me free of charge, no questions asked?

I'm not saying the LED Lenser is a bad light, but Surefire is the industry benchmark for a reason. Honda Accords and BMW M3's are both cars, but they are in completely different universes when you truly compare them.

Geez! I didn't know you could do all that with a Surefire.

I may have to start saving my money now.

I've had one since they first came out. It's a great light. It does about everything I could ask. It's on me as part of my EDC after work. While I am at work I have one of several G2X Pros with me. There performance is close to the LX2 for utility purposes at a lower price( it used to be a much lower price) I dont reccomend the G2X pro for defensive use though since it has a low first then high clicky tailcap.

i was thinking of this light for my AR. is there a decent mount available that will work for mounting on my rails on AR? and also can you add a foregrip switch to this light?

It actually sounds more like an ad for an LED Maglite. :dunno:

Maglight doesn't even come close. I've worked as a 3rd shift watchman for the last 5 years, and have went through all the big brands (Fenix, Maglight, Surefire, Coast, Lenser, Pelican, 5.11, Streamlight, etc....). The only one that hasn't failed me were the Surefires. Streamlight would place in a distant 2nd. They are worth the extra money if you need a tool that you can depend on no matter what.

Their warranty is great too. I've never had a light break, but they have replaced holsters, holster clips, pocket clips, grip rings, etc... free of charge with prompt shipping.
