      Youth deer rifle suggestions

Hello all! My son is 11 and has started to take an interest in deer hunting with me. I've used a 450 bushmaster for the past 3 years and love it with great success. The rifle is a bit long for him and he's not a big fan of the kick. Im looking for something he can grow into. Any suggestions on...

1500: If there is a long line you can wait INSIDE

I haven't attended in several years. I used to attended quite regularly in the late 2000s and early 2010s. I had heard that the 1500 wasn't as good or as fun as it used to be. Especially after covid. Time and family also made it harder to attend. Now things are better financially and with...

      First Precision Rifle

My only "real" precision rifle is a Remington 800 SPS with a 20 inch bull barrel. It's in 308. I love it and have great luck with it. I've had it close to 15 years now.

      EDCing a fixed blade

Is there a reason you would prefer a fixed blade over a folding blade? I'm just curious. I carry a kabar folding knife. It was a gift years ago and has been very useful and holds its edge well.

The 50 post rule does suck, but I also get it and how it may be used to prevent bots.

      I learned something

I've got a buddy who loves finding odd caliber. 24 gauge is definitely unique... I'd guess the auctioneer didn't realize what he had.

Greater Indianapolis Militaria Show (August 31st)

This looks fun. Is it a yearly event? I don't think I'll make the August or October events. :/

      Greetings from Central Indiana

I reckon that's a loaded question. Haha. Well, I have rifles and helmets from Vietnam back to 1890s. The majority is ww2 Era with some ww1 Era. I'd like to find a good Krag and I've always wanted a sharps carbine. I do have several modern rifles and shotguns as well. Mainly for hunting.

Hello all, Thank you for allowing me to be here. I'm from central Indiana, married, with three kiddos. I enjoy hunting and fishing. I also collect older military surplus. My wife complains that it is an experience hobby. Hahaha. Take care all!!
