+1 on this, if you remember this happen when the current turd was running in the last election and won, prices shot thur the roof, I say people buying funs that did'nt know which end the bullet came out of those of us with common sence did'nt buy anything then, and tried to tell anyone that would listen not to. But smany including dealers bought many, hint: same dealers you see at the 1500 with high prices for the last 4 yrs. If you feel compelled to buy then for gods sake "SHOP AROUND" many good buys can be found at this forum, armslist, ar15 and so on, don't just buy the first thing you see, just my
So I've read several articles and hear lots of rumors, but is anyone here willing to admit they bought a gun because they are concerned about a near future ban?
The FtW. Urinal Gazette ran a story about "gun permits" being high, which doesn't play into a gun ban since this is strict a state issue...
But, whoever said fear was rational.
The only fear associated with my gun purchases is that my wife will find out!
Dang. How much does your honey spend on dinner with a friend?Ah, I stopped fearing. The other night see hopped in her car and said, "I'm going out to dinner with my girlfriend!".
I replied, "then I'm buying another gun."
She frowned and left and I went inside and placed the order. Milsurp handgun, that seems the be only things without inflated prices or long lead times.
Honestly, I think there's less of a buying spree from Obamania and more from people joining the sport. Firearms are pretty affordable and people see us having fun and protecting ourselves and they just want in on the action.
I'm not buying guns out of fear but I'll admit I'm not selling any because of what might come. Who knows what the value of a pistol might be when you can't find them. Also how about barter if the sh** really does hit the fan and money is worthless? How much food and other necessities might a firearm bring in a trade with somebody who desperately needs one? It sounds paranoid but, hey, look at the aftermath of Katrina. That would pale in comparison to what the Midwest might look like when the New Madrid fault lets go with the big one. Scores of bridges over the Mississippi and Ohio rivers destroyed. Utility lines and plants knocked off line. Natural gas and petroleum pipe lines destroyed. How many are really ready for roving bands of thugs who will kill for your food and water.
I'm from Southern Indiana. We have cat/dog affairs down here all the time.Don't forget cats and dogs sleeping together and having unprotected sex!
I also laugh at those that think a Romney White House would be so much better than another 4 years of Obama. People need to actually listen to what candidates are saying and wake up.
That's already happening at our house... (okay, not the unprotected sex part!)Don't forget cats and dogs sleeping together and having unprotected sex!
