Congrats on the harvest jeremy. I miss the farming days.

Bought a couple hundred more rounds of ammo and a 100 gallon bathtub water storage container. I am really behind you all with this though. We are trying to really give away things that we don't use or need and keep things simple too. Plus it will be less to move when we get our house away in the country.

    About 800 Acres...
Which is approximately 34,848,000 square feet...

What kinda reference are you compiling?! :dunno:

I had hoped you were a bit of a smaller scale, say an acre or so, which is what I'm planning on doing eventually. Thought I'd see if you had any advice for growing it, but I think my small-scale sustainable methods are a bit unwieldy in the acreages you're harvesting :D

Pulled first aid kits out of both vehicles.
Emptied each on the kitchen table along with the home kit and supplementary supplies.
Pulled out last year's restocking checklist and compared what was left to what we started with. Removed expired medications.
Started a new checklist (adjusting for additional family members, new knowledge, etc.)
Restocked each kit and noted what was missing.
Went to the store for replacement supplies.
Put replacement supplies in each kit and returned them to the vehicles/closet as appropriate.

(also put a new battery in watch... and picked up a buck knife)

Did you also put an inventory of each bag inside the bag as well? (Maybe with a list of contents which can be checked off if used, with expiration dates? The list would make it easier to keep up.)

What a simple idea. Yet such a good one!

Right now I seem to be the only person pulling things out of the GHBs. But when the kid starts using it for whatever reason it would be nice to know instantly what is there and what isn't.

Heck it is tough for me to remember at times what I used.

My new goal is getting a list for each bag with boxes to check off. Maybe even take it a step farther and put expiration dates on the items that matter.

It's what I did with my bags. I put the list(s) in the small pocket/pouch right in front or on the side. (Often too small for most items) I also made a note in the small notebook in my purse. (Shopping list)
It's so easy to forget using something when we have so much going on in our lives.

That does make sense, and I've tried it in the past. Historically, I've had a hard time being disciplined enough to actually mark down the items used. I'd suggest that system for anybody who will actually keep up with it.

Actually, a lot of the practices are usable from Large Production Operations to a Smaller Scale like you are looking at doing. I spent a Year Afghanistan adapting and teaching Ag Practices to the Afghans. The hardest part is to think smaller and come up with a mod that will do it on a smaller scale. After you start thinking outside of the box it starts coming pretty easily.

PM me if you have any questions. ;)

I dunno, I'll take a stab at it.

I worked out like Brock Lesnar. Back on the road running.
    Lifting, swimming.

Did some sparring, figured out how to fight against a guy with an 8" longer reach and punch him in the face, a lot.

3 dry fire sessions, G19, J frame speed loader, AK, bolt gun

Conducted some rudimentary comms training for my crew.

Cut and split a whole bunch of wood, for me and to give to a couple buds.
Sharpened and retired the chainsaw for the winter.
Took out the garden and cleaned it up.

Acquired a Pete Allen tomahawk, finishing the handle.

Bought an HT radio. Learning the buttons

    Practiced my knots, underwater.

Thats all I can think of for now.

Ordered 5 Alice packs and started getting stuff together to stock them with. There is a lot I still need to purchase, but I do have enough to make one almost complete pack.
