Whatever I would choose, it would have a light on it and plenty of mags. I'm thinking an ar and a usp with a S&W bodyguard in my front pocket and a Walther P22 on my ankle.

you need a .22 rifle a reliable revolver preferebly one that shoots multiple calibers, and an powerful long gun of some sort. in my opinion obviously. however when **** hits the fan i will take any gun i can get my hands on, thats why i am building a collection of guns for most major calibers

    AR15 for general purpose
Lee Enfield 303 sporter, scoped for long range work
Lee Enfield battle rifle. (I have lots of reloads for the Enfields otherwise it would be an FN FAL or any semi auto 7.62)
Remington 870 with choice of three barrels to suit whatever scenario is prevailing at any given time. (Rifled , ribbed choked or 18" for CQB)
Sig 226 9mm backup and CQB
    Ruger LC9

Marlin 795 @ Marlin 60 for obvious reasons.( No one should be without a 22 LR)

Right now I would have to say my Beretta Border Marshall in a Handgun pick. As for rifle it is hard to say. I have a Ruger 77/2 with and EER 3. to 9 scope would serve me well for foraging small game. I 30-06 for other choices.

I love my XD45 Tactical with the 13+1 capacity and stopping power. I have 5 magazines and 1000 rounds to go with it. I also have a Mossberg 500 Tactical riot gun with a shell-holder shoulder strap attached. Packed with 00-Buck. For small game hunting I have the Ruger 10/22 Breakdown with back-pack, four 25-round Ruger mags, and 1000 rounds of ammo. I also love my Ruger SP101 357 snub-nose for ankle carry and last line of defense.

Since I originally posted in this thread we have changed our SHTF tactics. Son has fallen madly in love with the Mossberg 930 platform and has made some changes to it (mine) and his gear is now set up for that gun. Wife shoots my CCMG .22 LR AR and feels she could run the M-4 in .223 as does my daughter so those 2 have been re-assigned. I have stepped into a Socom 16 and really like it. A bit heavier then the M-4 but is much more effective. A trip through the Farm equipment graveyard with all of the above and the Socom wins hands down.

    Hand guns remain the same.
