I'm confused, not sure if I'm understanding your train of thought. Are you suggesting that EVERYONE be required to submit to psych evals or that I have somehow suggested such?
I thought I made it clear that was not the case.
As far as your question, relatively few of the mass shooters have made it to the evaluation process. Most are killed in their acts. Yet, most of their diagnosed attributes are quite similar to that of other known mass murderers or serial killers I would suspect.
Sorry, I read your post and was reminded of something related and my response to your post wasn't so much a response as a related thought.
I have just always found it interesting that so many people ask "how could this happen?" when, with the benefit of hindsight and in-depth reporting, we find out how obviously mentally unstable a mass shooter was, and/or how many red flags should have been raised. And that has always caused me to wonder how many people in this country would appear the same, in hindsight, if they committed the same shooting, and thus opened their own history up to examination. And, it doesn't seem appropriate to bring up the first thing without also discussing the second.
