Maybe. He could very well get his job back if the union can make a successful case for PTSD. He probably won't be back out on the street again for awhile, even if he does get his job back, though.

As far as I can determine, he has no military record. Apparently, he contracted it (PTSD) about 8 years ago and he's been a cop for about twice that long. I also found it interesting (per a different article I read) that his fellow officers donated their sick days so he could continue to draw pay, and that no charges have yet been filed against his partner.

Further still... no mention has been made weather the victim (William Bartlett), will file a civil suit... but I can't imagine that not happening.

This thing is far from over.

So now this "officer" is going to get Disabilty payments for PTSD, The story doesn't say that but if he gets a good lawyer how can he not get on Disabilty since he was fired due to an incedent

The taxpayers are going to be paying this guys bills the rest of his life. No winner here but the "officer" who now will find a way to live out his life on our dime.

Granted I'm assuming that he'll go this way, But why wouldn't he? His moral compass is not aligned all the way north.

This man is a loose cannon. I don't care if he has/had PTSD or not. His actions are inexcusable and he has no place wearing a badge. In fact, he should be charged for this crap.
