Since I'm not rushed for time now like I was earlier I'll explain why I said that statement was stupid.
OK stupid wasn't a good word to use.........
I apologize for that.
My point is...
There's no prohibition against, murder, rape, robbery, vehicle theft, arson, skyjacking, terrorism, or anything else for that matter, within the Constitution.
All laws are derived from the framework of The Constitution.
That was the purpose for it's existence from the beginning.
It's meant to be the groundwork for all Criminal and Civil laws passed in this country.
It's NOT a Law unto itself.
Merely the arbitrator of all U.S. laws.
I understand that the Constitution is a framework. But I also understand that your view of the Bill or Rights renders it totally meaningless. If the first amendment is only a guideline and the .gov can require citizens to jump through hoops to exorcise it, then the government can make you jump through hoops to exorcise any of the Bill or Rights. Shall we have to get a license to choose which religious denomination we choose to belong to? Shall we have to get a license to own a gun, carry a gun, or much less own one of those scary looking black guns?
