Three auto officials, who asked that they and their companies not be identified so they could speak candidly, say they remain unsure whether Fain has a clear plan to end the strikes or whether he'll cling to demands that the companies say would be so costly as to jeopardize their ability to invest in the future.

When either side talks to reporters or the media, it will have an agenda.
Those that are sitting at the bargaining tables are the ones that actually know whats going on.

With the way Fain speaks as though the car companies are the enemy, it makes one wonder if he will try to stretch the timing this out to set a record for himself that he can boast about for years to come?

I have no doubt seeing his interviews that this is a huge power trip.

When an open socialist/communist leads an organization, there are only losers, especially in the long run. But once they move to places like Mexico and Brazil, I'm sure their citizens will be thankful for the jobs.

Good. Glad to hear it. And Fain sure knows how to make it sound like he delivered the golden calf.

“We told Ford to pony up and they did. We won things nobody thought was possible,” UAW President Shawn Fain said during a video posted online Wednesday night. He said the value of Ford’s offer increased by 50% compared to when the targeted strikes began Sept. 15.

I mean, if it's a fair point that the outrageous demands of the union at the outset was just positioning, then it's fair to say that the low initial offer was also just positioning. But at any rate, it came with a hefty price. Enjoy.
