That’s my thinking as well. Why not just make all the video available to everyone? Why give it to a right-wing news site? We now have the left wing narrative. And the right wing narrative.

But we really don’t have the full truth. Viewing left-wing propaganda plus right-wing propaganda doesn’t sum to give us the whole truth. Just the parts each side wants us to see.

That said, it’s quite odd that if it’s the “armed insurrection” claimed by the left, what possible context supports CP calmly allowing—even inviting—these “domestic terrorists” into the building and escorting them around like they’re vip’s. Those of you who believe the “insurrection” narrative, please do share your explanation. It better be good or I’ll just laugh at you.

I think it was better to allow a right leaning production company access first to all of the footage as even if they craft a report that is right-biased the result may be to somewhat counter the left biased narrative we have been fed for the last two years. There is also the added benefit of a professional production team making sense of all that footage as well as muting cries about security by only one source having access under an agreement to clear footage that might be a security problem with the House first

A wide open free-for-all of any and every source with access would just result in 100s of biased presentations, a result desired by the left because the noise would drown out a more focused analysis and the crazier versions could be highlighted by the left to impugn any questioning of their narrative

I certainly would support eventual widespread release of all the footage, but the more important question in my mind is why didn't the Democrats rats want to release it for two years and only came around when release couldn't be stopped

It's hard to take anyone seriously who can't offer a reasonable explanation for how this has been depicted for the last two years, the rest of the video has been hidden for the last two years, and now we find video evidence that people just meandered about the Capitol and the authorities seemed quite at ease with it all.

How about the supercut of what's-his-name cop that was paraded around in the days after the riot as if he was the singlehanded savior of democracy? Surely that's in the footage, start to finish.

Hand it over to everyone. To Bug's point, yeah, we'd get a lot of spin from all the independents. I don't really see how that's any worse than how things are now. The left spun it their way and the right whined about it. The right spun it their way and now the left is whining about it. **** that. Put it all out there and let everyone whine about everyone.

And now the doubters can see why I've maintained that janurary 6th is a litmus test for someone's ability to reason.

If they see it as anything more than a protest, they're politically radical beyond reason. Now people can watch what I saw with my own eyes on the day of.

If someone thinks being directed around by capitol police is terrorism, nothing they say should ever be taken seriously.
