Much as a soldier, wounded by friendly fire, might well apportion some blame to the individual(s) that shot him

Are you serious? You're accusing NeverTrump of friendly fire? Who the heck fired the first volley?

Why am I imagining Trumpers as Leeroy Jenkins?

GOP: "OK, we're going to go in with sane candidate and easily beat HRC, then we'll get right wingers like Stutzman elected to the Senate...Stick the plan and it's a cake walk after 8 years under Obama."
    Trump: "Leeroy Jenkins!"
GOP: "Damn it, time for damage control now."

We're kind of dumb-struck... do we follow into battle? We probably will once we tamp down our sense of morality and dignity.

I often wonder that with the very left slanted, democrat loving news media, how Trump would look if we had honest reporters and a balanced news media?

You could use quotes and provide context, but you'd rather provide your slant now wouldn't you?

    Here's the quote:
"Saddam Hussein was a bad guy, right? He was a bad guy, really bad guy," Trump said during a rally in Raleigh, N.C."But you know what he did well? He killed terrorists. He did that so good. They didn't read them the rights, they didn't talk. They were a terrorist – it was over.

Trump gives Saddam Hussein a shout out | TheHill

Trump now praising Saddam ****ing Hussein for being a "terrorist killer" (ignoring Iraq being a terrorist haven at the time)

There it is. There's that distraction.

The guy who donated to the Clintons to buy influence and party invitations is rambling about the system being rigged

Now come on. This is just Trump speak. Let me translate.

"It was a mistake to take Saddam out. He was a tyrant and ruthless, but he kept terrorism out of Iraq. He didn't do it by being nice to the terrorists."

Would it have been so disagreeable if he'd have said it that way?

For everything Trump says, people have to search for the worst possible meaning and go ape**** all over that. Trump says plenty of controversial, legitimately nutty things anyway. You don't have to spin everything that comes out of his mouth in the worst possible way. That's just not very honest. And you can be honest about him. He's still poopy on his own without all the spin.

Larger point is he chose the day of Clinton's exoneration to say something stupid. As expected.

He's a great boon to her campaign.

The way he said it was stupid as is the way he says pretty much everything. What he was saying is probably true. But I do agree he probably said it to get attention back on him. Someone in his campaign needs to grow the stones to inform him he's nekkid.

Maybe they scheduled Coomy's announcement on a day Trump had a rally scheduled somewhere. The odds are always pretty good he's going to say something nutty or controversial at these things. Just play the odds that he'll bail you out by sucking the oxygen out of the room and your news will die quickly and unnoticed by the masses.

Hope you weren't counting on Trump to actually capitalize on this excellent opportunity. He should be killing this... instead he sounds like a teenage girl.

He simply won't attack her. All goes back to him helping her.

Hold up. I'm not following you on this one. It looks to me like he is attacking her, albeit in a vague, lame way. Bringing up her lies doesn't exactly help her.
