1. It makes cops notice me
2. It makes my mom think I am crazy and paranoid
3. It keeps the hordes of girls at bay who I am sure otherwise would want to date me
1. Protection and 2A rights
2. To remind me of all the good times I had shooting with my Dad and other friends and family that are no longer around.
3. Because I love things that are loud and go fast.
1. Self Defense and the Defense of others. I never was a big guy and I'm getting older. Guns level the playing field.
2. Shooting tasty animals. I grew up hunting and eating some of the delicious fauna our state has to offer. My kids ate venison tonight for dinner. As an added bonus there is no tax paid for meat that you kill yourself.
3. Legacy. I have a .22 rifle that one grandfather carved his name into the stock as a young man. I own a .25 auto that my grandmother used to carry in her purse. I have a .45 that my grandfather on my dad's side brought back from WWII. I own some guns that belonged to my mom's uncle and cousin. I even have a cheapo .38 snubby that was owned by a deceased aunt. All of these are treasures and will be passed down to my boys.
