    You serious with this?

He's serious. It's obvious he doesn't believe in freedom of religion.

He also thinks we saw Ron Paul as a "messiah", when in reality we saw him as "someone who would actually try to fix things" instead of compounding our problems. We had faith that he would actually AT LEAST TRY. That's all.

Really? Purge the Christians? Just a while ago he was taunting me for not 'manifesting the spirit' as well as him, whatever that may mean.

Supporting the person who shares your views means you're voting for a 'messiah'.

Supporting the person who the GOP tells you to support means you're 'smart'.

I'm trying to learn these rules, give me some time guys.

    You serious with this?

Society is purging this institutions. Look at how the Protestant church (both mainstream and fundamentalist) are losing their children, their congregations are graying. Same with collectivism, communism, socialism, unions are a mere shadow of what they used to be. Progressivism has hit its peak with Obama and is now starting to decline. Within Progressivism movements like feminism and environmentalism are also declining. Only homosexual rights has yet to hit its peak.

What is growing? Well the evangelicals are. Islam is. We have yet to really form any Information Age institutions other than evangelicalism.

Libertarians worshipped Ron Paul the way the democrats did Obama. He was a rockstar to you, a god.

    What, exactly, is your point?

Also, is any of actually true or did you just make it all up?

I think your perspective on this is a little skewed.

It is so difficult to find any trace of likability in the candidates that you vote for, that it may seem like some sort of 'rockstar' complex that others actually get excited about a candidate who not only wants to do something other than grow the establishment, but might actually be a decent enough guy to grab a beer with sometime.

Do you have any proof at all this this is true? The only piece of this that I think is actually true is that Islam is growing. Mainly thanks to their reproductive over achieving. The rest of this is make believe.

WOW ! I can't understand the intense hatred of Libertarians.
Yeah, they bash on Repubs because of what they've done and yeah you don't see them bash Democrats. But I believe someone already addressed that point.

So, I'm curious as to what Trooper and others that share his opinion would have us poor, stupid Libertarians do? Should we be good little sheeple and rejoin the fold of the auspicious Republican party and try and reshape that party? Maybe that'll work. Maybe not.

Peronally, I think the mainstream Republican party is so controlled by special interests and big money JUST LIKE THE DEMOCRATS that they're too far gone to actually return to their "roots".

Now, I'm no massive political scholar. Don't want to be. BUT, what I am is an average Joe who maybe pays a little more attention to the running of our .gov than others. Doesn't make me a political MENSA member though.

So I'm Libertarian. Do you know how refreshing it is for me to actually be able to vote FOR someone than to just vote for someone because the other guy is a total douche? I thought people in this Republic were supposed to vote for someone they believed in as a candidate. I happen to align more with the Libertarian party. That doesn't mean I wouldn't vote for a Republican if they supported things I believe in and actually walked the walk instead of just talking the talk. Same for a Democrat. However, what I see a lot of is candidates that just say what is necessary to look good on TV and get elected and then their actions don't match up right.

Who does that? you say? Ron Paul did it. No Trooper, I'm not "rock starring" him, but he did live up to his word pretty consistently. So what the heck is so wrong with that? And why do you and the others have to be so crappy to us Libertarians? We're not "stupid" as you claim just because we are able to point out that the two-party system has systematically shredded the very fabric of this Republic to the point of almost failure.

I love it when arguing with Democrats that they cannot even admit that their party has done ANYTHING wrong in the past (or present for that matter). It's laughable. Republicans are a little better at admitting that the party has made some mistakes in the past and gotten off-message....need to return to its roots. Bully for them for saying it. BUT, then there are some in the R party that start to fall into the D trap of just saying that we should all join and that'll defeat the awful Cobra...I mean Democrats. Sorry, got all GI Joe there for a second.

I'll tell you, as a regular Joe, being scolded for believing something is not the way to get me back on your side. It's bullying and maybe, just maybe, that's why the Republican Party is on the decline.

But what do I know, I'm just a stupid Libertarian.
