Isnt helping the less fortunate a biblical principle?
feeling rather satisfied.
we are getting a push towards green energy and moving away from harmful, polluting fossil fuels. We killed Bin Laden, ended the war in Iraq and won the war on terror. The stock market has recovered and unemployment has markedly improved. There are some kinks to work out in the healthcare law, but overall it will improve services to those who need it most. asking the richest among us for just a bit more isn't too much to ask, right?
this could take off

Please don't anyone post that Obama got Bin Laden. Is there any POTUS who would NOT have given that order?
Charity doesn't come at the point of a Roman spear or the barrel of gun, it comes from a cheerful and willing giver.
Cheerful and willing? Seems like the threat of eternal damnation is just as persuasive as a gun or spear... more so in fact.
I cut you a little slack since you like Marshalls, but that boy has to be the most divisive president ever and his dream act by executive fiat is treason.
Isnt helping the less fortunate a biblical principle?
Government taking control of this principle actually hurts those that are supposed to do the helping as well as ultimately hurting those they are supposedly trying to help as it builds dependency.
I always try to vote according to Biblical principles which means I could never align myself with the Democratics and their liberal social agenda.
Sabotage can be a dangerous thing.
I quit voting Democrat after '76. I quit voting Republican after '78. This last time was the first time since then that I voted in the Republican Primary. I actually wanted, and would have voted for Ron Paul. The majority of Republicans over-ruled me, so I voted libertarian. In other words I wasn't trying to sabotage, so much as offer guidance. They declined. I moved on, sadly unsurprised.
I actually kind of like the Hoosier way. I was able to at least try to vote for Ron Paul again. (Voted for him in '88, and wrote him in a couple of other times when he wasn't even running. Of course over the years I've also voted for Pat Paulsen, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and my neighbor's dog Bear. I view our elections as rigged by the Big-Two, so I take them about as seriously as voters in the Soviet Union should have taken theirs. "Vote for Nikita or Nikita.")
Couldn't the right wrong needy person become dependent upon cheerful and willing givers, assuming such givers existed to begin with?
