Roger is very lucky the mob did not go after him. The few times I have been involved with something like this, the thug's crew made sure no one intervened. If the tug had lost, the other guy would have had to fight the crew to survive to brag about it. These thugs are like Pringles, you never can fight just one.

Very Glad Roger taught him a lesson, and lived to talk about it.

There's nothing conclusive in that video at all.

There are perfectly valid reasons for using violence against a woman. Say she pulls a knife or gun on you.

Roger was in the wrong. It's not his job to "teach the thug a lesson."

If the woman beater had kept it up on her, yeah, it's justifiable to intervene to stop him. Protect her from further harm, sure. Becoming a vigilante in that kind of situation could quickly get you outnumbered, and seriously hurt, or killed.

I've never been in a fight, never had to, and a few times have successfully avoided getting a beating. One by a drunk friend of my best friend who chased me around my car wanting me to throw the first punch. He would have clobbered me, and the girl he wanted to fight about wasn't worth it (she proved that by hooking up with him.)

Heck, I was even smacked by a girl in the middle of a huge dance club. Another drunk friend of my best friend (go figure.) I was walking back from the bathroom, and she came out of no where and did that. I just put my hands to my side, didn't even reply to whatever she was ranting about. She was no threat to me. Good thing I did as bouncers were quickly at our spot. Since I hadn't moved an inch, they surrounded her, and escorted her out of the club. They never even touched me, I didn't give them a reason to.

Could be why I don't bother with bars and clubs, or my best friends drunk friends any more.

There's only one reason I'll resort to violence, and that's because I fear for my life, or the lives of others. Otherwise, I've got nothing to prove to anyone.

I guess I'm getting old enough and realize not much good happens when the sun is down, there is a large crowd, and alcohol is the common denominator. I used to be right in the middle of that mix. Now, my 2 daughters are my 1st thought.

The guy who attacked the woman was rather large - Huerta looks kinda small especially compared to the big guy, so I think this gave the original attacker some added confidence.

Funny to see the big guy drop like a sack of crap, and proceed to get curb stomped; he got what he deserved for PUNCHING a woman like that.

What is Pride?

There was a PRIDE FC about 5 years ago, but I have no idea what Roger would be trying to line up now.

I went with Pride because I didn't figure most would know DREAM. Last I'd heard he was with Bellator FC, some smaller organization...until Zuffa buys them out.

As far as Huerta looking smaller than the thug, he isn't a very big guy. 5'8-5'9 and fought at 155.

Well, this black dude hit this girl, and started walking away, so I attacked him, 'cause it's just not right that he was walking away from the gal. He needed to be "dealt with." Because, that's what it looks like in the video. And since there's video, a jury wont have to rely on he said/he said.

Yeah, the dude who hit the girl deserves all the punishment the law can met out. And, as I've said, multiple times, if the dude had continued his assault on the woman, stopping him would have been justifiable.
