Just to throw more fuel on the fire, per se, but the comments Eugene made about the glass cutting the fuel lines next to the spark plugs... The motor is clearly a diesel engine and therefore has no spark plugs.

The motor of the fire engine, almost certainly diesel, but of the church bus? Those things are gas all the time.
