I probably shouldn't have commented. There's several very nice people I don't talk to anymore because bluntly, they're a black racist or a white racist. And not another word will I say about it. Not wasting my time on racist stuff.

C'mon. That's a very facile interpretation. There's no mind control at all. Perhaps it's overstated by Carson being imprecise by identifying the people who do this as white "liberals". But what he said rings true, that there is a class of white liberals, who disparage the views of the black people who don't hold the views they think black people should hold. And it's a good idea not to waste time on racist stuff. Race is a silly thing to quibble over. It should matter in society as much as freckles matter. But because people make those cultural differences the most important, they also make race more important than it is.
