I see 2 possibilities out of Trump. He'll either be a do nothing all-talk-no-action, or he's looking for adoration and attention which will lead him to making an effort to create what he talks about to continue to feed that need. It would of course be a bad thing if he latched onto the liberal progressives, but it does not seem to me like he will ever have their support or attention, and has largely dismissed them.

I don't think he's someone who could handle being universally hated by everyone in the country, and I find it hard to believe he'd take a route that would result in that.

This is why when I hear people say "He's in it for himself" I wonder how they think that would be a bad thing?

I'd find it hard to believe that you could fundamentally change defamation law to a degree that a fundamental aspect is removed.

    WHAT? Really?

Yeah, it could be a very bad thing. For example, Hilary is in it for herself. Do you think that Trump's selfishness is any less dangerous than her's?

That middle finger you like so much. What if it's a paper finger? I think you put an awful lot of trust in Trump when there are plenty of red flags that might indicate he doesn't deserve it. But you guys just ignore them because it feels so good to back a guy who says what you like to hear.

Except hillary doesn't even talk to her base or excite them.

She clearly announces maintaining status quo. At this point their purposes for supporting her boil down to sexism.

"It's time for a woman president." The same nonsense that got barry in office.

Yea I'm sure Trump wouldn't do any favors for his company if he became president. We'd have tacky casinos in every national park that could support it.

Or they think she is really hot and look forward to seeing her constantly for the next 8 years...

Lately she's been working hard to appeal to "people of color". But Bernie got Spike Lee to put in a good word for him.

I still find it hilarious how Bernie keeps hanging around people like sharpton and promising slavery reparations, yet he's polling worse with minorities than she is.

I find it hilarious that he actually never said that:

First of all, its likelihood of getting through Congress is nil. Second of all, I think it would be very divisive.

When he says "common sense" conservative, I keep thinking about "common sense" gun control...

Yeah, the libs have kinda taken over the term "common sense" to where its usage is a turnoff to me at least. Now "common sense" means surrender your freedom.

We both know that he means by reparations, regardless of how he tries to spin it.

You seem to have a lot of "common sense".

Anymore, when a politician says "common sense" I'm pretty confident they're being truthful in the "common" part. Not so much the "sense".

Is that one of those dog whistles?

I will not vote for Donald Trump for President of the United States even if he is the Republican nominee.

Can't disagree. I will never, ever vote for Donald Trump. Lot of conservatives coming out today with the same view. He's a con, he's a fraud. He doesn't just need to be attacked (which we saw work last night), he needs to be exposed and humiliated to the point where people are embarrassed to associate with him.

I'm a Conservative before I'm a Republican. I'm a Republican before I'm a Democrat. Trump fails in both of these situations.

Didn't think anything could make him more distasteful, but Chris Christie's smug face smirking behind him did it.

If he is the nominee, then Hillary is the President. There will be no one else to blame but his followers.
