Ah, so we're critiquing reporting being too slow AND reporting being too fast, depending on the source.

Got it.
This story touchs on not one, but three widely reported news "topics". Illegal immigration, sexual violence against women/girls, and sexual assaults in our schools. For the vast majority of MSM sources to not report it GLARINGLY shows their extreme bias... they only reported it when they saw it was not going away, as they hoped.

Why does **** like this end up on page 14 typically? Bury the lead.

Page 14? For a second I was wondering if you meant on the INGO thread. :)

Do news sites even have page numbers? :D

The AP reports, sites pick it up when it gets to them, seems like it gets formatted around whatever advertisements the news site uses, then it goes online.

Or, perhaps, what the wife THINKS is HIS social security card, is actually, in fact, someone else's?

ETA: While the SSA might have inadvertently issued him a card in his own name and identity, my money is on the ABOVE... I bet with the odds. :D

Now, c'mon. You realize this WAS Obama's SSA.

Maher on London attack: You never hear ?Merry Christmas? before bomb goes off | TheHill

"Let's not pretend this has nothing to do with Islam, the religion," he said.
"It doesn't," Mensch responded. "It has nothing to do with Islam the same way Timothy McVeigh had nothing to do with Roman Catholicism."
"Every time some bomb goes off, before it goes off, somebody yells ‘Allahu Akbar!’” said Maher. "I never hear anybody go ‘Merry Christmas! This one’s for the flying nun!’ ”

"Are there Christian terrorist armies now. .. like ISIS, Al Qaeda, al-Shaabab, Boko Haram? Are there armies like that in the world that aren't Muslim?" he asked. "Let's not f--k around anymore! Can we get real?"
"I literally don't agree with you," Mensch said. "Russia is sending Chechen militants into ISIS trying to leverage this against a billion people." [lolwut?]

We are either a nation of laws or we are not. If some don't like the laws, work to repeal (or repeal and replace...) them with other or no laws concerning the subject. Until that happens, lock up the ****ers breaking those laws.

I remain skeptical of said wall's construction ever occurring.

Border wall funding likely to be put on hold | TheHill

IMO, this quote from the article is the operative one:

Lawmakers have expressed concern about a potential government shutdown over the inclusion of money for Trump's controversial proposal to build a wall.

Congressional Republicans have yet to grow a pair... it might be time for Trump to announce, "elections have meaning" and that he'll veto any bill that does not include funding for the wall and increased enforcement... a move that Obama used very effectively, though of course, for opposite purposes.

I was just thinking about all these judges who have quashed the "travel ban" for 90 days that President Trump put out in an executive order.

He wants to basically limit travel from six (6) countries for 90 days and they're saying he can't do that.

I think I know what his response should be:

#1) Recall ALL State Dept officials who process entry into the United States from these six (6) countries;
#2) Hold review meetings with them explaining in person that they will not be allowed to discriminate against any religions;
#3) Have feedback meetings from all of these personnel to get their views and opinions of this situation;
#4) Form basic review committee's of these employee's to review other employees input to see what the best ideas are;
#5) Have stateside State Dept personnel then review the reviews of these committees' to determine what could be legal and what wouldn't;
#6) Have further meetings to discuss the good ideas and how they might be implemented in order to not run afoul of the judges order;

and finally,

#7) Make certain this entire F****** process takes 90 DAYS TO PROCESS!

After all, if all of the State Dept personnel are stateside making certain they are being briefed and briefing on everything - who would be there to allow foreigners into the US?

It would be a de facto Trump victory.

And what is a judge going to do - give orders to departments under Executive Branch rule that are having meetings to comply with the judges ruling? Surely the executive branch of the government is allowed to process and review the judicial branches rulings in order to comply.

Then just tell the robed politicians congratulations on their rulings stopping the executive order from being implemented! Oh, and :p!!!

Regards,

Doug

Trump should play Obama's game and let them shut it down. Then on social media pummel the Democrats relentlessly on their hypocrisy. Trump, McConnell, and Ryan should say word for word what Obama, Reid, and Pelosi said about Republicans when they shut it down. But then tell Americans not to worry. Because THIS administration isn't going to selectively close the government services so that they could politicize it, like the Obama administration did.

This would work to a point but the spin masters in the MSM would have a field day with this.
The mush brains already hooked on the latest blend of :koolaid: would stand up in lock step to the MSM onslaught.

And then the right leaning media can replay what the MSM reported about Republicans shutting down the government.

He should definitely focus on the wall AND enforcement. Enforcement is a winner and will increasingly be so as the list of criminals sanctuary cities release gets to be a steady drumbeat.

To help bring "the wall" into focus, I would suggest a full blown Presidential press conference HERE:

This is the "end" of the "wall" that Obama built... a HUUYGE suburban San Diego subdivision is about 3 miles away. The picture was taken in 2016 and Google Earth/Map Otay Mesa shows this to be the end of the wall for many miles.

Or here at the end of a 3.1 barrier a few miles walk from Columbus, NM. Or any number of other places where there is no barrier whatsoever, or a vehicle barrier that you can "step over", no climbing needed, with roads and towns less than an hour's walk away.

636209479650434553-0138919-2.jpg

No moat or alligators needed, but yes, a fence or wall higher than a highway barrier might be a good thing.

Or here, the end of the wall/fence outside Fort Hancock, TX. I-10 is a mile away. (go to 4:54 in the video, I couldn't get the start time feature to work :scratch:)

"You know, they said we needed to triple the Border Patrol. Or now they're going to say we need to quadruple the Border Patrol. Or they'll want a higher fence. Maybe they'll need a moat. Maybe the want alligators in the moat. They'll never be satisfied. And I understand that. That's politics." - Obama 2011 El Paso

ICE Detains Domestic Abuse Victim for deportation!

Here is a story that, at least as referenced in USA Today, seems horrible, even for folks who support enforcing our immigration laws. The story is referenced in a broader USA Today report on ICE enforcement around courthouses... when people with deportation orders are scheduled before a state or local court.

California chief justice asks ICE to quit 'stalking' courthouses

Last month, immigration agents in Texas arrested a woman at an El Paso courthouse while she was obtaining a protection order against an alleged abuser. The arrest sparked an outcry from victim's advocates, saying it would dissuade others from coming forward to report abuse for fear of being deported.

As summarized by USA Today, this sounds pretty indefensible, right? Well, let's look at the rest of the story... here's a story from the El Paso Times (local USA Today) that provides some additional details that the summary omits.

ICE detains domestic-violence victim in El Paso court

FWIW, the "woman" was born a man, but identifies as a woman. This account does report the more pertinent details that led to detaining her:

...had been deported six times since 2010 — apparently after arrests for crimes including possession of stolen mail, false imprisonment and assault.

Note that a WaPo article indicates that "she" had previously been deported for the reasons above, BUT ALSO for domestic violence and probation violations. (not sure if these were committed prior to or after "he" started identifying as a woman)

So, the narrative presented as a poor woman who is (alegedly) a victim of domestic abuse was detained "simply" for trying to get a TRO against the abusive boyfriend could also be presented as deporting FOR THE SEVENTH TIME, a violent criminal.

tl;dr: Did ICE deport a violent criminal for the 7th time or a woman simply trying to get protection from an abusive boyfriend?
